Lewis = Glass canon?

Rosier's striking was crude & basic but he was strong & extremely tough & had an iron jaw. He was a guy who had a very strong will & desire to win. His opponent Frasier said he had in asthma attack during that fight & that's we he got fatigued & then beat up.
I've always thought Rosier was kind of the original Roy Nelson, but much taller. I read an interview with him before he passed away. He said he didn't take later UFC fights seriously. He showed up drunk to one and ate a whole pizza before another. That's too bad. They also matched up against grapplers after UFC 1. He could've had some fun striking wars with Harold Howard, Keith Hackney, Tank Abbott, Varelens, etc. with better matchmaking.

Always been a fan of Lewis, he has given us some big KOs over the years, but his career has always been like this, one fight he shows up looking awful and totally flat and lethargic, and then the next fight he comes out and lays the guy out cold brutally. Won't be surprised if he wins his next fight by brutal KO, thats the way its always been with him

Can’t believe the Volkov KO was 8 years ago. I think that’s Black Beasts best performance

OMG 8 years ago, that is madness, it doesn't feel that long ago to me. The time is flying by so fast these days. I'd say it was 4-5 years ago, 8 years is unreal. Where is the time going? lol I know I am becoming a old fogey now but yeah the time seems to be on rapid speed.

😂 😂 we'll probably be on 2029 when I see your reply to this post haha.

People don't realize how fucking terrifying Sapp was in the first few years of his career.

He just stopped caring about winning and it all went downhill from there.

It was probably the broke orbital from crocop. Part of me doesn't blame him.
the broken orbital makes for a good story, but I don't buy it considering he still was making an effort for years afterward. 1769571526965.png

Idk what you’re talking about Lewis is a technician that out cardio’s his foe

I was there and I remember, but if we're being honest Bob Sapp always sucked.

Massive lack of coordination and basic motor skills, stiff as a board, terrible cardio, and no heart. He got popular real quick in Japan because of his size, showmanship, and ability to crush overmatched and vastly oversized Japanese cans, then followed it up with an entertaining loss to Big Nog (a lot of fighters back in the day were able to look good against him early, before succumbing), then managed to stop Hoost twice... AHHHHHHH!!!! Those two fights with Hoost are probably the most frustrating kickboxing fights I've ever seen in terms of the better man managing to lose but for those who haven't seen them here they are:

One loss via cut after a bunch of illegal shots when he was down and after the bell and an early stoppage in the other. And look how bad Sapp looks doing it! Still, he holds two dubs over one of the greatest kickboxers of all-time while simultaneously being terrible at fighting. You're also right, when he faced a legit kickboxer in his prime with fire in his belly and hate in his heart we finally got to see what Sapp was made of.

And it never really got better from there.

Sorry, but the Bob Sapp period still irks me to this day.

yeah, idk why people try to make it seem like bob sapp was ever good. if he was half as good as people say, he wouldnt have lost so easily so early in his career to so many people.

he beat hoost which is great, though hoost was pas his prime and just didnt match up well. in MMA, bob sapp was never anything special. didn't beat a single good opponent even during his "prime".

his claim to fame in MMA s having a great fight with nogueira which he still lost. other than that he was a meme from nearly day 1.
