I don’t know if any specific knot that helps. I suppose wrapping the line around the arm twice before tying the knot would reduce the chance of it sliding.
Our weather this week has sucked. I don’t mind fishing in a light rain, but there have been thunderstorms possible almost every day this week. Being in a boat with lightning all around is no fun, so the boat still hasn’t been in the water. Fished the pond once, nothing but dinks. Also had the roof of the house and garage damn near ripped off from that storm the other day, gotta love spring in the midwest. The rain your getting now was here about an hour ago. It poured but didn’t last long, you might still get out.
The spinnerbait sort of fell out of favor after the Chatterbait hit the market, but I still think there are times the spinnerbait works better.
One of my Sponsors is mostly known for their Spinner baits but i dont use them much. They keep encouraging me to tho.
Same, I’ve caught some fish on the Chatterbait including a 5 lb largemouth, but I still don’t have a lot of confidence in it. I’ve spent a lot of time throwing one for the amount of fish its produced. I typically have more confidence in a spinnerbait.I tired to get into chatterbaits this year. I have the morning dawn colored chatterbaits that the dude won the tournament on. I bought mine before that happened, so I was able to get them. Now, they have been sold out since then. I think it was Lee Livesay that won it. Anyway, I caught two fish on that chatterbait before it got snagged and I lost it. I still have one left, but I just prefer spinnerbaits. Caught both my smallie and largemouth pb on spinnerbaits. Both on mega bass in fact. My favorite spinnerbait by far.

Well shit, hook a brotha up.
And I have anti-sponsors. Companies pay me not to use their shit since I can’t catch anything lately

Is he wearing socks in sandals?Oldest caught a good one yesterday. Its his first big fish, he was pretty pumped. Like most teens, he lacks patience and was getting disappointed he could never catch a big fish. He had lost a lot of enthusiasm for fishing, this seemed to add a spark. 5 lbs 4 oz

LOL, yep. It must be the thing now, they all wear socks with them now. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one sockless. I don’t even ask anymore, he’ll just roll his eyes.Is he wearing socks in sandals?
its such an awesome lure you look at it and think whiskey tango fuck theres no way in hell this works.. but flat out destroys.A spinnerbait that expensive should have a twisted arm, not the standard R bend that most spinnerbaits have these days. It seems like Northland is one of the only company making spinnerbaits with twisted arms anymore, though there are probably some smaller custom bait companies still twisting them. The R bend creates such a weak point, when a spinnerbait eventually fails, it will fail at the R bend 100% of the time because that's where it flexes. Eventually that arm flexes so much the metal fails. I usually lose them long before that, but still, when you pay that sort of money for a bait they shouldn't be using the cheapest manufacturing process possible.

All I really buy are northland for this reason. And I do well with them. I buy a bunch of them online every couple of years.A spinnerbait that expensive should have a twisted arm, not the standard R bend that most spinnerbaits have these days.
