Let's Talk About Robelis Despaigne vs Josh Parisian

Despaigne is probably going to get found out at some point. He's in his mid 30s already and has yet to go little past a minute so we have no clue what his cardio is like.

Parisian is not the guy to do it though, he's cannon fodder in this fight.

Maybe if this fight was directly after Parisians spinning back fist ko but not after seeing him lose to damn near everyone. If Robelis finishes Parisian in highlight fashion and Tibura pulls out suddenly Robelis could be a main event. He likely styles on Tai in that matchup which puts him in the top 15 in the division. He can then take out Rozenstruik and now he's fighting for a top 5 spot all within 6 months. All we need is a video of Robelis dunking or jumping out a pool and we have a super star on our hands.

Is Robelis Despaigne the future GOAT???

Two words: Absolute fuckin Unit

Early stoppage, shit like this is ruining the sport

"Touch of death" against 4 opponents with a combined total of 1 win.

Calm down.

He has the touch of death because he is a real sized man, a genuine heavyweight who is 6'7'' with an 87 inch reach, in good fighting shape at 260 pounds. This would be a good sized man even by basketball standards - for reference Lebron James doesn't have a wingspan that large. And wingspan means power because it means both wider shoulders and longer arms (levers) - both of which generate the "touch of death" power. that knockout he had tonight over Parisian was literally because of the wingspan both making his shots hit the opponent while the opponent could not hit him, and because of the extra power the longer levers of his wingspan give him in his punches even when backpedaling.

If mma fighters were paid comparatively to athletes in the other major sports, athletes like Robelis would be the norm in mma, not the exception.
