There was a show on the strength of apes and it was unreal how strong they are. One chimp they tested pulled on a scale spring anchored to a wall. She weighed 110 pounds and pulled 1800 pounds of force on the spring with one arm,and they couldn't even know for sure she was pulling as hard as she could. I can't even imagine how strong a gorilla 4 X that weight and size would be. Regardless of weight the simian species of animals are immensely strong.

Yeah I have a hard time believing a leopard can take on a full grown silverback. Also to the guy talking about weights, from Google:

I think by itself an alpha male silverback would have a very good chance against a single male lion.

A gorilla would rip a lion's head clean off.
Lion would wound a Gorilla real bad and then handle it easily.
Tigers have a problem with Lions due to the Lion's mane protecting it's throat area. Tiger and Lion fights are a toss up. Grizzly Bear would own all no problem.

Slightly OT, but a T-Rex would fucking wreck a Spinoasaurus. I don't think it would even be close, T-Rex is stronger, better eye sight, better bite force. Only thing spiny has on it is size.

No they're not man. Tigers have overwhelming size on them alone. There's also historical evidence from back in the day in the Roman Colesium, where they used to pit tigers vs. lions and tigers were set as the favorite.
