Fedor beat very few good proper sized HW. The result is prime Fedor would struggle with proper HWs and be KO by many

Reading and comprehension is a bitch around here. Mirko lost fights for sure, some by devastating KO. Doesn't mean he wouldn't fuck up Gane in his prime. I'm not sure how else to put it. Gane got wrestlefucked by Ngannou of all people and is suddenly some ungodly fighter. Nah.

Well Gane had one of the best starts in an MMA career over 10 fights. The other candidates for this fell off a cliff after the early success so based on this Gane might be done, so prime fedor beats him.
 
What a killer fight Mirko vs Gane would be in a ring. Mirko’s style is not well suited to the cage, and fighting in the cage took away a lot of his game (cutting angles, backing opponents into corners, reversing them when he (Mirko) was backed into a corner and then teeing off with a high kick, etc). Fedor’s style suffers too in the ring, and honestly I’d say right now is the point in his career that he is most comfortable in one.

anyhoo, I think prime Cro Cop vs Gane in a ring is a tossup. In a cage, I solidly favor Gane. I’ll back prime Fedor to beat Gane either way, but it’s a lot closer in a cage. It’s tough because we only saw Fedor in a cage from late 2009 on. I like 2004 version of Fedor to beat Gane in a ring.

Anyone suggesting they know how a fight between fedor or cc against gane or ngannou is being dishonest. They are 4 great fighters. The current guys are difficult because they are so much bigger and that presents challenges.

The fight we saw was just 2 big dudes playing karate. Fedor vs cro cop is still a high watermark on hw mma. Francis vs gane was a meme.

You also can't have it both ways. He succeeded at HW because he was generally faster than them, which wouldn't be the case if he were bigger.
