It didn't have to be this way...

I guess they don't like the taste of tariffs? Or maybe they don't digest well?

While it is true that Trump helped kill that immigration bill for election purposes, it is also true that Biden was supporting it at the last second ALSO for political purposes.

Biden created a complete mess and it was a last second hail mary before the election because it became obvious to the whole country that the immigration problem exploded.

Additionally, that bill only got that far at the point of a gun. People forget that the Republicans were only able to get that far because they held the Ukraine and Israel aid packages hostage.

This video is not 100% accurate. Biden gave TPS to hundreds of thousands of people which was supposed to end in April. On his way out of office, he EXTENDED that TPS for additional time. What Trump did was end that extension.

And the executive office is well within their rights to end that TPS. It was given by executive order so they can take it away via executive order.

This is just an example of Trump reversing an executive order of the previous administration.
If you can understand why EOs are not the best way to do business you should be able to comprehend why that immigration bill was a good bill for border issues and America in general.

I agree that the border bill was good. I don't agree the Democrats were operating on good faith.

Biden's administration created a mess and they were trying to fix it at the last minute to win the election because the greater populace started seeing immigration as a huge problem. People in liberal cities like New York started complaining so they had to do something. Immigration was the #1 reason people voted.

And remember that a lot of Republicans also voted for the bill and some helped co-author it with the Democrats.

Trump's camp were also playing politics by killing the bill.

Once again Trump shafted the people who voted for him.

I really don't get it. They hate conservatives but are insistent on bringing the most radical hardcore conservatives on the planet into their spaces. It's baffling. I wish someone could explain this to me. Deep down inside do they want Sharia Law and to follow Islamic teachings after being forcefully converted?
They haven't thought that far ahead, their main goal is bringing down western civilization, and they see the Muslims as an ally in that cause.

It's nothing new, every communist revolution has gone in a similar way, tear it all down comrade... and once they do that it's always "ok, now what"? Everyone shrugs, the most ruthless among them takes all the power, wealth and control, while everyone else ends up equally miserable.

Biden followed the laws that existed. They removed EOs because they aren't permanent and congress needs to do their job. That's how the Biden admin applied pressure. Its how our country is supposed to work.

What the heck do you mean "Biden followed the laws?"

He took specific steps during his presidency that created the crisis at the border. His executive orders that created a crisis:

1. He got rid of the "Remain in Mexico" while applying for asylum program.
2. He instituted the CBP One app to allow applying for asylum remotely letting in hundreds of thousands.
3. He instituted the "catch and release" policy where anyone caught at the border to just be given a future court date and just released into the country.
4. He gave humanitarian parole to hundreds of thousands of new people.
5. He extended the temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of people.

All of these things created an incentive for anyone and everyone to just storm the border. Because it was a can't lose proposition for them.

In essence, his DIRECT actions via executive orders created the immigration crisis.

A currently serving US Army Lieutenant wife was detained "prison in her own words" then deported within 2 days. I am sure that will fly like a lead balloon with the US Army. It sounds like she returned from Australia to restore her VISA requirements. Now that this has happened she cannot return to the US the Army officer now with her in Australia who knows what happens next. Ether way he seems to have made his own decision maybe? All I can say good luck World Cup travelers in 2026?

We had decades of immigration executive orders to band aid the issue and congress happy to do nothing but use immigration for political purposes. You might not like what Biden did but he did cause congress to work on immigration LAWS instead of of EOs.
