That's an interesting take. No you don't get a participation trophy but when you compete with everything you have w/l/d you should get respect. Fighting is the pinnacle sport of this. Loved that pride didnt punish it's losers, especially those with great fighting styles.

However the moral victory thing is spot on but that's part of the human condition. Spin it to win it. "There are always two sides to the story" As a huge Diaz fan he won 1:15 seconds of that fight and had he not douched around possibly could have finished Leon.

The division is super competitive at the top. They are all sensetive about criticism from one another. Even WB is taking shots here and there. Annoyance is growing based on who's gonna get the next shot. Tension is building in the top 5. Understandable reaction from Edwards.

Gilbert is right though. In the end, this sport is all about the big moments. The wow moments. Like that moment WB had when he destroyed Hendricks. Leon hasn't had that yet.
