Legacy Wise- is Fedor still a top 10 fighter of all time

Of course he is; I'm not even one of his big fans, and his legacy is still easssssily top 10

what is your opinion?

With a 30-0 record there's no possible way you can argue he is not top 3, not even 10. Jack Slack has even called him the best striker in MMA.

A 30-0 record is not seen even in 3rd Tier, B-level, Promotions, you very, very rarely see fighters go that long undefeated.

Even guys who get cut from the UFC and try to cruise in lower promotions, where they're clearly more talented still don't get those kinds of streaks going.

I got him ranked somewhere in the 30's

I'm very interested to see the TS's top 10. I assure you it goes something along these lines:

#1 Demetrious Johnson, #2Robbie Lawler, #3 Fabrico Werdum, #4 Rafael Dos Anjos #5 Conor Mcgregor, #6 Nate Diaz, #7 Meisha Tate

GSP,Anderson,Jones and Aldo have the better resumes so he is #5 on my list.

Hard to see him at #10 with Baruto around

is this a troll thread he wins every major poll ever done for greatest of all time... the question is do you have him in your top 5 all time and that's being modest

2016 join date... ok now I understand, either you are new or this is your troll account lol

You must be a noob asking this stupid question

But he fought Zulu so he cant be the best(sherdog logic)

As the years and decades go by, I think Fedor will evolve into a sort of mythical figure, who's true potential was more of a mystery.

A small man fighting in a land of giants. Beowulf.

The best fighter ever in the sport.

Fedor never got to train like Jon Jones with Greg Jackson and elite world class fighters. He had some training sessions with fellow pros here and there and only a few regular pro training partners (Aleks was great, but he left Sergei much earlier), but mostly he trained with his amateur buddies. We won't know how good he would have been with a real camp like what modern fighters have.

Fedor was crazy good because he rarely got hit (or was impossible to put down even if you hit him) and the shots he threw in return were all lethal. He reminds me of Golovkin in that sense, but he's got MMA gloves and is allowed to throw all sorts of shots when he hurts his opponent so it's even worse... It's difficult to beat someone striking when they only have to hit you once to finish you while they themselves are hard as fuck to drop.

And when he was on the ground he absolutely dominated from top position and had awesome submission defense etc. and though weaker from the bottom, he had some good subs from there too especially the armbar, that was very quick.

Fedor was never dropped from the standing position even once in his entire career despite fighting at HW for more than a decade. He was also only ever dropped overall one time right at the tail end and it was grappling.

Avoiding the UFC will hurt him. And over time, people will diminish the importance of Pride as the best HW league of the day.

For all we know, Felix Savon was the greatest boxer of all time. But he never fought in a venue that would prove it.

Yes haha, you are so funny and right Dear Leader. If I had to make list of Top 10 Goats it would be
  1. Kim IL Sung
  2. Kim Jung IL
  3. Kim Jung Un
  4. Kim Jung Un
  5. Kim Jung Un
  6. Kim Jung Un
  7. Kim Jung Un
  8. Kim Jung Un
  9. Kim Jung Un
  10. Fedor
If decadent Americans let you competer you would win ALL UFC Dear Leader. Please now can you free my Uncle from Camp #14 he did not mean to watch those Golden Girls reruns on DVD.

I don't think so.
  1. Werdum beat Cain, that says a lot and generally SF and Pride fighters did well to great in UFC.
  2. Hunt who Fedor schooled is still kicking ass
  3. Jack Slack calling him the best striker in MMA is big. Everybody listens to the guy and I doubt he'll change his mind. He'll keep writing more on the Last Emperor.
  4. Fedor soundly beat the UFC's greatest HW Tim Sylvia and it wasn't much past his tenure. Donald Trump was at the venue.
  5. Fedor opened up the New York Stock exchange, still think no other fighter has done that and got a huge amount of media from mainstream outlets that were barely covering UFC at the time.
  6. He still may have a superfight or some kind of thing w UFC.
how many fighters got the media of Trump coming out and supporting their events?
