LeBron James comments on Conor's loss - vid

Lebron sipping hard on that Conor-aid. Didn't know he brought into the hype too

Good video I hope the casual clingers come and watch they think when somebody loses their life is over.

It's always crazy when you see casual fans enamored with a fighter and the hype behind them. The hardcore fans as a whole never fully bought into the hype of Ronda and Conor but it seems everyday casual fans really did.

McGregor is a skilled fighter but he was never the best in the sport and is a long ways away from being an all time great. Yet Lebron is talking about him like he's Anderson Silva or something lol.

Solid words from a top athlete who understands top level competition.

I think he's talking about him as if he's a champion (he is still holding Aldo's belt), who is determined to move forward and learn from his mistakes. Everything he said is true whether Conor is the god he believes he is, or if he had never made it to the UFC and only been the champion of his second tier org.

Yeah but that is true for Holly Holm, Chris Weidman, Cain Velasquez, TJ Dillashaw, and others. Yet he's talking about Conor. Why? Partly because of Conor's popularity but also the perception that he is an all time great historic fighter. Remember he was posting McGregor quotes before the fight.

I value the opinion of Sherdog haters more, personally.

And he was asked about Conor.

And he was asked about Conor.

Exactly. They asked him about Conor because they perceive Conor as this uniquely great fighter. And Lebron actually knew who Conor was and was able to talk at length about him. Because he views him also as a uniquely great fighter and champion.

If they had asked him about Luke Rockhold he would have said "who?". Yet Rockhold is every bit of the champion that Conor is.

it kind of bugs me i found sherdog before any other mma forum. Every other forum puts sherdog down so bad but im not sure i can swap to the UG or another place. its like being in bellator and hearing about the ufc contracts before reebok

It would be similar if Luke had just lost to Rumble at HW.
