"Leave the world behind" movie ending

I didn’t think the ending was so bad. The daughter found the house of someone with connections and a shelter and access to information about what’s happening.
I imagine we will see part two

terrible ending. many films are doing this, expeciting the audience to fill in the blank, or do the heavy lifting as to what the ending means/is.

it's lazy writing.

promising start, poor ending, and plot holes.

I don't think that it was a plot movie. It was a theme movie. It was about how we won't survive crisis because we don't trust one another, which is made an argument for, then showed. Think of it more like a painting or short story than normal movie. 5/10 for me. It was fine.
