Yeah i tried translate a bit 1:1 what you said with grandi merde, but "pezzi di merda" is more common way to use it

Funny as insult even more common is stronzo (plural stronzi) wich mean turd, but while pezzi di merda is mostly used as negative, stronzo have huge range of use from negative to friendly it's more like english asshole

Lui/Lei/Loro are not wrong and what you would use in real life, is just for grammar it's used egli/essi wich is super old and nobody use it while talking

I can not speak 1% italian, just from having heard it twice a week for 5 years, I think it's less hard for me to pick up. Like sub consciously you remember some language you heard for 5 years during your teenage years when your brain is still a sponge. Just for fun. Would be kinda cool to just speak basic italian. Right now I don't even speak it on beginer level, I can say maybe 40 words. I forgot it all and didn't know a lot in the first place. But it sounds familiar. And fun.

Do you speak Spanish? Cause your username suggests you do. Gives you an edge for understanding it, but can also make you mix up words. Italian IS fun. The grammar hurts your head a lot less than French and Spanish. It's a little more straightforward, like English. Plus Italians are usually fun to be around, so you know you'll enjoy your vacations there.

I speak Croatian and German. And I write english, rarely speak it. I can speak no Spanish. Fuego, caliente, finito. I randomly used this username, a friend just used this word and it poped up my mind.
