That wasn’t lay n pray. Khamzat pounded on his head and face every time he pinned him down. Not to mention utterly controlling him and setting up subs. You’re full of shit if you think he wasn’t 100% active and inflicting damage the entire fight.

So there really were no real submissions attempts from hazmat, that we could count.
If you have ever grappled, you should know this.

What do these stats even consider to be a submission attempt? If you watched that fight and couldn't see that Khamzat was attempting many submissions I think you need to get your eyes checked lol.

I saw really good top control and amazing chain wrestling in that fight. But if someone saw there hundreds of legitimate submission attempts, they should really get their eyes checked.

My apologies, I thought you meant that’s what I said. Regardless it doesn’t make anything I said less true, there’s just no way you could watch that fight and think he attempted zero submissions like those stats say.

I’d be very curious to know what exactly qualifies as a submission attempt when it comes to those stats.

Khamzat is one of those guys who is always going to have detractors regardless of how he performs, because many people want him to lose and then feel salty when he doesnt.
