Are people actually pretending the U.S. doesn't have the best/most well trained athletes?

I gotta say I watched this video and found it laughable to say the least.

Now shying away from the glaring accusations that could be made, I think it's pretty silly of israel adesanya to speak with such bold ignorance.

For one he's claiming that "if nigerians decided to hit mma hard, it's game over for everyone" theres a huge issue with that though.

I think alot of people foreign to united states soil don't quite understand the reason why united states citizens aren't dominating fighting anymore. We simply on a large scale do not participate in fighting like we used to, because we have three HUGE markets in the united states that are econimically on par with or bigger than any international sports market, and that's just on a domestic scale alone, on our soil. That is the NBA, NFL, and MLB.

Kids in the united states don't grow up with dreams of becoming a prized fighter lol, for the last several decades here in the united states the youth has dreamt of being big time defensive line men, running backs, point gaurds, pitchers etc for the most lucrative markets in sports globally, these three organizations literally have teams handing multi million dollar contracts out of college to the best young athleetes they can find, that's thousands of our athletes per year being swallowed up by the mainstream network of conglomerate business called the united states sports circut.

From youth we literally push our kids to get in to these organizations, not have the broken life of a fighter on the local scene. They are groomed for this and even get recruited for college specifically for those sports. The only combat and I use the term combat loosely, sport that gives any united states citizen college incentive is wrestling, a sport that just behind japan, we've won the most olympic metals in the last 10 years lol.

When you have a modern top teir united staes athelete who takes any form of fighting or combat sports seriously you get unstopable guys like
Jon Jones Bo Knickle Floyd Mayweather Daniel Comrier, Caels Anderson, Dan Gable etc etc

my point is don't get too cocky, you're only doing as well as you are because most men from the united states have been opting out for more lucrative ventures with more pussy and glory

Some serious cope in that OP. Just admit that America sucks at fighting now and be done with it.

Yeh, you might have lots of potentially good fighters going to other sports, but you still have way better programs and more people going towards fighting than we Australian's do.

And yet we have 2 UFC belts and you guys have Kayla lol.

You're specifically taking about African Americans though, in which case no, because they're African

Natural talent may be nearly equal I many parts of the world, but what puts richer Countries ahead is the ability to fully focus on training because the other basics are taken care of.

I believe It’s harder to be champ coming from the favelaz than it is coming from a hard nose wrestling back ground with the finance and huge facilities and coaching staff to back you up.

Should use their superior natural talents to build the infrastructure for that.

There's tough people everywhere... no such place that claims all the toughest people.

Haven't you been watching MMA? It was decided the superior race in MMA is Russia/Georgia/Dagestan Caucasian, and the best training is the Euro-Russian Caucasian methods they train in.

Khamzat is the Great White Hope.

Objective facts: The United States of America has a very large population - 340 million officially; who knows how many other millions of illegals. This population is typically well fed - not healthy food, but an abundance of relatively cheap fats and proteins and calories. Because of this, even the "poor" kids in America typically grow to good sizes. And yes, diet and caloric intake plays a significant part in growth during childhood and puberty - without proper caloric excess, a person can never get the most of of their genetics for size.

But let's talk those genetics: America is a diverse country. The two most prominent population groups competing in the mainstream big money sports - NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL - are as follows:

1) The white guys of primarily Germanic and Scandinavian descent from the mid west and middle of the country. These guys tend to have both natural size and athleticism genetics, and a powerful diet of caloric excess of meats and dairy.

2) The african-americans typically from the south that are the descendants of slaves bred for size and strength. This is why african-americans, especially from the deep south, are typically more physically imposing than continental africans. Also the immense diet of caloric excess of the American south.

There is NO DOUBT that if either or both of those two populations had positive societal incentive and infrastructure from early childhood to pursue combat sports, that many great and dominant fighters would come out of those populations and thus, the United States of America.

The rest of the American ethnic populations are a mixed bag; but out of such a large population there would still be many other great fighters.

If there was no such thing as the nfl nba mlb nhl or whatever and just mma there would be plenty

Now suck this fat American dick

There are thousands of potential fighters playing those sports. MMA fans like to trash on mainstream athletes for being "soft" - but they are "soft" because they can afford to be so. Their genetics carries them so far that they can be "softer" than, say a guy like Nick Diaz who was never really given anything. But make no mistake: if everyone in American grew up in a combat culture like in the caucausus, it would be the most naturally gifted athletes that would come out on top because in that culture, nobody could be soft.
