Lawler vs Colby smells bad

didnt see Lawler throwing any punch with an intention to KO Colby.
hope I am wrong but this fight just smells bad

There was also something off about the grappling and "attempted" chokes early in the fight. (And I get that he's in no panic to wear out his arms there without having the hooks in or the arm under the chin... but how does Robbie know he's not going to try to finish him? Why is Robbie just chilling while a dude is "trying" to choke him unconscious?)

the funny thing is that Lawler wasnt dominated , he lost the rounds by being in-active

Colby might have pillow fists , he was not able to KO Lawler who was not even responding

wwe chumping in the first and pulling shots on both sides all rounds. this is the most obvious work of a fight in ufc history.

the odds for Robbie went from +190 to +250 towards the end. A lot of money came in on Covington. It seemed like Robbie wasn't throwing to me

He threw a few. After the first two rounds he was probably too tired to throw many haymakers so he kept waiting for the perfect shot. He made Colby stumble a few times but Colby's defense and chin was good. Those uppercuts he was landing were pretty hard but didn't land on the right spot.

Oh you mean like in the first round where Covington was "faking" the rear naked?
Go back and watch Colby on Lawlers back and pay close attlention to his arms LOL.

LMAO at insinuating that ROBBIE LAWLER of all the people on this earth would throw a fight.

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

If this were almost any other fighter than Lawler, who is a true warrior and deserves zero shit talk for the battles he's given us, I would call this an embarrassing performance.

40yr old BJJ specialist Maia at least drew blood...but Lawler essentially landed NOTHING??? wtf.

To be fair though, Maia's tds/ground game played a big role in creating openings for his strikes. Colby didn't have that concern with Robbie.

I don't know if it was fishy but there were a bunch of weird moments in the fight.

Colby would literally throw 10-12 arm punches while Robbie just weaved around avoiding them without throwing anything back.

We've seen Robbie take rounds off, but he took this whole fucking fight off.

Not surprising, Colby hand picked Lawler he knew he would win

Where does Colby get all the money to pay Robbie and porn stars?!

Oh, wait!

Yeah. That whole sequence was beyond strange to me. And Robbie just sitting there, no handfighting, nothing, like he's hanging out at the beach.

That knowing smile between the two of them at the very outset had me suspicious.

Scratching my head over this one.

What the fuck is this shit?

People start fun threads for a laugh and get immediately wastelanded and these clowns can accuse Robbie fuckin Lawler of throwing a fight?

<bball1>

Watch the first round or two again, Robbie got taken down 10+ times, so he also had to get up 10+ times and carry Colby's weight on his back. The best way to stop a good striker is make them tired so they can't muster the energy to KO you, and thats exactly what he did.
