I didn’t say it’s a problem but it isn’t as thoughtful of the trans person. They matter too and ultimately the discussion has to be thoughtful of everyone.

I’ve always said there’s nuance. And never suggested the women want to deny basic rights to trans people.

We must be misunderstanding each other because I never meant to assume you did think any of that.

I'm just saying that I would never post a video from anybody that didn't deeply include the trans person in the discussion...

But there are people who think they should not be in women's prisons, women's sports, women's restrooms, and shelters and women's changing rooms who are deeply thoughtful and who care about trans people and I'm one of those people.

Issues surrounding trans people is still not an ideology. They're individual societal issues that need to be dealt with on their own basis but are instead used by many as an excuse to scapegoat people and groan on about so-called "trans ideology". It's nauseating.

i cannot discern what you are taling about. you have to be specific because there are a TON of philosophical premises that trans ideology is built upon that are quite faulty. thats why they will NOT debate nearly anyone... many of their foundations rest upon faulty logic and so debate would and does expose them. this is why europe has been so helpful in this area. without a right wing christian extremist element there is LESS but not none, radical polarization on both sides and there has been and is much more intelligent diologue.

you REALLY need to listen to a LOT more around this issue if you think there are no ideologies central to this issue.

Trans ideology is made up. It's propaganda. It's a deliberate misdirection. Show me one trans person using the term in a positive way.

It's transactivists a very few of whom are trans people themselves, that use it and promote trans ideology.

If you would listen to both of the videos, you would already know that each speaker explains this very thoroughly. Transactivists don't really represent the trans community, but they are the ones pushing forth trans ideology. And you need better sources if you think there is no such thing...

They're the ones fighting like hell to get trans people into women's prisons into women's bathrooms into women's shelters into women's rape crisis centers into women's sports teams.

They're the ones pushing the false notion that they are real women or that they are real men rather than feeling a certain way inside and playing the role of a real woman or a real man. They are the ones obfuscating the english language and trying to rid its use of man or woman to make signifiers between the sexes nonexistent in place of a sliding scale of gender identities.


You really have no idea what's going on.


No wonder you don't think philosophy is relevant to the issues at hand.... you don't even know what the issues are.

Ignorance is bliss I guess. I would post a couple of videos to educate you on the matter but you can dismiss all of it without ever having looked into it because you already know everything.

Does that person have a penis?

The answer is the women's restroom if the person passes as female because there is no way to enforce any other approach and social norms take precedence.

Women's shelter though? No way does he use that if he has a penis. That requires a separate facility or wing.

Third wings and separate facilities is the only answer in that case. Gender neutral bathrooms also must be put into place in most buildings. Many places already have single use restrooms. Many more have separate facilities for employees which could be used for transgender people. Locks could also be placed on some multi -person restrooms for the very rare time when I transgender person needs to use the restroom. And tax credits could be offered for businesses willing to install a third restroom.

There could be a nationwide app showing transgender people where every restroom they can use is located.

We are constantly told that this issue is pressing... it's a very pressing matter and yet the only solution offered is to dump men onto women's facilities and physically vulnerable women. It's unconscionable. If we really think it's a big issue, we can afford to retrofit restrooms for transgender people.

Dumping this issue onto women and placing men in women's vulnerable spaces is cowardly, cruel, short-sided and ignorant..
