Last Words From Death Row Inmates

John Wayne Gacy: "Kiss my ass."

On his way to his execution, Gacy told a prison guard, "Kiss my ass," according to his hometown newspaper, the Chicago Tribune.

Hmmm. Most of the cases seem to involve robbery that went wrong and escalated into someone being shot and killed.

I'm not against the death penalty, but it seems most of the people on this are uneducated, jobless and made a single fucked up decision.

There's not many on here who committed truly evil acts (who do deserve to die)

this,

while Breivik still comfortably masturbates in his "cell"

There are some simple rules in life. Not killing other people is one of them. If you cant control yourself in society, and kill someone, you deserve to be executed.

So apparently the whole 'not killing people rule' isnt so simple is it?

I fucking hope not. So that person was meant to kill someone, take that persons chance of redemption/forgiveness away but gets the chance for forgiveness/redemption just because (makes sense).

But I mean there probably isn't an afterlife, so it really doesn't matter.

That's the fucked up thing about heaven and hell. You seem to feel so entitled to enter a perfect heaven, yet you're going to sit there and remorselessly condemn a person who made a mistake to eternal damnation?

And you've convinced yourself they're the bad guy.

They NEED to be done? Why?

Two reasons.

1. Set an example to society.
2. Costs less.

Though I'll admit the 2nd part is debateable.

The arguement that a serial killer should get the same sentence for 50 murders as the same as someone that just performed 1, is insane.

'Well, I just killed somebody. Might as well kill as many as I can before getting caught. They'll lock me away forever anyhow.'

Damn

Religion has even made murderers smug

We need to set an example to society? Because all those countries that dont are overflowing with murderers?

And I dont get the second part.. I could be wrong, but just from randomly clicking some of though crimes on that list, it looks like a good percentage only killed one person. What are you suggesting? We torture those that kill many, and then kill them?

No. I never mentioned torture.

That good portion that only killed one person probably killed a child, performed the murder in such a way (probably classified as torture) that the only suitable sentence is death,or both.

Great read.

Amazing how many refer to religion in their last statements. I wonder if they were Christians before their crime or knowing that they would be put to death.

most of these 'Im off to be with Jesus' people are not reformed at all, and the few that are aren't likely to have got there without being on death row.

they are terminal, its all they have to believe in..... death is coming, salvation is promised, just read the book n be sorry. GTFO.

There is one who actually yelled out "Go Raiders!!!".

Speaking of Death Row, I don't know how some of these dudes even can have a last meal. I can't eat when I get nervous, but if you're gonna die in 24 hours or so. Eeek.

In the heart everyone has been murderous, lascivious, decietful, unmerciful, covetous, hateful etc. Some just have bigger balls to make it a reality than others. Humans look unto the flesh while God looks inside the heart for the truth in you.

Reminds me of The Seventh Sign when they sentenced that mentally challenged dude to death.

It's easy to get angry reading some of the fucked up shit these people did then reading "I am going to be with my lord now, I am so happy and full of love."

There probably is not a heaven or a hell, but it's nuts that these people can actually convince themselves that if there is really a heaven that they would get to go there. But then again, fear can cloud people's mind, maybe deep down they know they are fucked.

This seems like an unnecessarily vengeful thing to say.

Thanks TS.
Some of them are entertaining.
Most of them are whiny Christian (self-comfort forgiveness BS) but there were some good ones.
One said something like "As Schwarzenegger said: "I'll be back"."

One other was messed up: A mother starved her kid to death and she said that she loved her son?
If she loved him so much, why did she not feed him some food? Pretty obvious that she was insane, still sad to read.

You're executing reformed men. Isn't the purpose rehabilitation?
