Concert/Live Last/Next Concert(s) and tour/show announcement thread

Going to see country music legend Clint Black at the county fair tonight, gonna spend the whole day partying at the fair and then take in some smooth country times and cap the night off with a huge fireworks and drone show

Its a beautiful sunny day and the concert is a complete sell out so theres probably gonna be lots of country mama milfs roaming about the fairgrounds all day long in jean shorts and cowboy boots, the ladies do love Clint, so I got that to look forward to, also

Last show was Pantera a few months back.

Now I'm on my way to this.

Saw Pantera for the 4th time tonight since Phil/Rex began their "Legacy" shows with Zakk/Charlie. They have never disappointed, but tonight was probably my 2nd favorite (To be fair the "return" at Rockville will never be topped). They played 90 minutes, sounded great, and even are changing up/adding to the setlist. They took out Floods, but added Hellbound, Goddamn Electric, I'll Cast a Shadow, and 10's. 100x out of 100 I'd recommend going to see them if you were ever a fan of the music.

I decided to pull the trigger and get tickets for Ghost on Monday. I want to see The Offspring on Sunday, but that remains TBD on if there is a price drop. I'm not into watching from the lawn anymore, and even that's $80. Everything under the pavilion is $100+ right now.

Follow-up, I decided to buy Offspring tickets @ Pine Knob Sunday morning, and then ...canceled/perhaps rescheduled due to a power outage. What sucked was waiting 3 hrs, and not hearing a single note from any band on the bill to find that out.

Thankfully (next day), I had Ghost tonight, and I last saw them roughly 3 years ago. Just go see them, I first saw them with Mastodon/Opeth in 2012, and they just continue to grow. Personally, the newer music doesn't hit with me in the same way, but the production/performance is really cool now/"world class" even changing out a banner background for video screens to alter the background/settings throughout the show enhances the songs, and I get it. The entire thing has always been about "Music theater" and Tobias Forge is a master of that artform, so in that regard..I'll still continue to attend for the showmanship alone.

Going to see this next month (for real)

Saw an oldish punk band, Sonic Boom Six, in April. Cool to buy a band shirt literally from the band/singer, having known of them since like 2008. One of the first punk bands I knew and liked stuff by, excluding chart stuff.

Got a ticket to see Mass of the Fermenting Dregs in October - a somewhat Japanese shoegaze/math rock/alternative rock band, I guess. Been a fan a few years...would be cool if more Japanese bands came to the UK. Quite a few go to South America or the US, but don't come here. They've gone to Ontario for a few years, now are coming to the UK since 2024.

Dave Matthews band put on an amazing show once again in Friday night

Set list started off meh but really picked up. It was weird seeing him indoors though. It was even weirder because it was so damn humid in LA that night.

Saw Nelly, Ja Rule, Eve & Chingy this past Friday night at the outdoor amphitheater by my house, it was a beautiful warm Summer evening and a sold out crowd of over 12,000 people, scantily clad hotties everywhere

Im not the biggest fan of any of the acts but it was a steady flow of 90's/2000's party songs & radio hits so the energy levels were high and there was lots of fun nostalgia

My view of the stage from my elevated private box at the back of the lower level

Just got home from Lorna Shore, and it was the 3rd time I have seen them. They have been great every time, but this time around they implemented super high quality video boards as the background to add visuals/"change the setting" every song, along with some lighting tricks throughout the night, and it was a really cool experience to watch. 10/10 definitely I want to see it again.

*For further perspective, I saw Ghost like 2 months ago, and Lorna Shore's stage production was better.
