Concert/Live Last/Next Concert(s) and tour/show announcement thread

I was looking through some of the lineups of the old festival shows I went to in the 90s and I totally forgot I saw Type O Negative at Ozzfest in 1997 @fingercuffs
Gosh we're old, that was the year I met Eamon at his wedding. I never had the pleasure.
If you ever read this, Tachy...whatever his name's been reduced to now haha.

And what's crazy is that I never got to watch System of A down and Incubus at Ozzfest in 1998 because were on the smaller side stage lol.
I didn't see Porcupine Tree on a small stage because of another band whose I can't remember.

I came across a Reddit thread today where these kids were talking about how the saw Marilyn Manson in like 2019 and were talking how awesome it was seeing him perform Irresponsible Hate Anthem... and I thought, god I'm getting fucking old. I saw him perform that in Chicago a week after Antichrist Superstar was released in 1996.

Fangirling, I normally have a Jukebox Sunday and one of my childhood favourites I still listen to was Wonderstuff's HUP. I tagged my bestie from school in because we were nuts about them and the lead singer liked the post. I woke up pleased as punch that he looked at anything I'd posted haha.

I guess on the plus side it's good to hear kids still appreciating good rock music from our day.
Definitely, regardless of political stuff seeing Springsteen sell out 3 nights in Manchester, England is cool as fuck.

99-01 was prime Incubus. You guys going to their shows next month?

Bringing back memories! I got lucky and saw System in Baltimore at a 300 capacity club play with Clutch and then right after that I saw them at their first Ozzfest too before they even had a full length. They were just handing out the Suite-Pee single on cassette. They were fantastic live. Endless energy. They even did a few Sabbath songs because they didn't have enough tracks to fill their set.

I saw Ozzfest in 97 also. Nissan pavilion, Bristow Va. amazing.

Pantera completely crushed it.
I'll never forget being in the pit during their set at that show and getting trucked by some guy and semi knocked out. That ended my moshing for the day.

Fortunately is was in the lawn so it could have ended worse

It's funny how quick I was to get into some shit when I was much younger... At the time as an 18 year old weighing 145 pounds and couldn't fight to save my life. But I sure as shit thought I was tough.

Then over the years I became an amateur boxer and then got into bodybuilding.... But the idea of running around pits and getting into it with people at concerts seemed lame and like such a waste of time.. even though I could have and still could do some serious damage now.

Funny how that works... Growing up and such.

They had fires going in the lawn section. It was nuts. There was a group of about 6 of us…but my one buddy and I had pavilion seats and we would bounce back and forth from the lawn to pavilion. Great times.

Saw Nick Cave in DC in May and it was my 10th time seeing him maybe more. Best live performer alive imo. Going to see John Maus be autistic in Oct. in the shithole that is Baltimore.

Added a few more concerts to this yr.

UB40
Dirty Heads/Jake Owen
Fortunate Youth/Bumpin Uglies
