Going to proper in San Diego this weekend. Some house/edm fest which isnt really my thing but there should be lots of San Diego dimes there.

have tickets for magic city hippies, tove lo, Caroline rose, unknown mortal orchestra, stagecoach and coachella for early-mid next year. Hoping some more rock concert opportunities present themselves.

Are you still going to Stagecoach, are you gonna see Chris Stapleton?
I'd like to see him in Concert but he never plays the Bay Area proper, only the outskirts where all the cowboys and farmers be

yeah I’ll be there for work.. Stapleton, ZZ Top, Nelly and Melissa Etheridge are the only acts I’m gonna go out of my way to see. Don’t think I know anyone else on the line up lol.

Just got tickets for Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots in August.

Was skeptical about seeing stp without Scott but watched some live stuff with Jeff Gutt and I was sold.

@Jackonfire have you heard/seen Gutt sing with STP?

I went to see Lorna Shore tonight for the first time live. I know that they are the supposed 10+ year "flavor of the week" up and comers since Will joined 2 years ago, but if you're into metal at all even just Metallica I'd say go see them.

Performance wise musically/vocally they were spot on. It was also very unique from other metal/deathcore concerts I have been to. There were alot of people attending who on the outside didn't appear like they would be into it, and were just there because they are a "thing" right now. Which usually means a large number of people getting hurt, either they don't understand how moshing/pits/ect work and accidents happen, or it's a blend of personalities who don't like each other and continous fights break out. But hell, even if it was for "likes", or whatever it was fun and even "positive" start to finish with zero issues I could tell. To see people cheering/yelling "yeah!" after Adam played one of his solos, and doing the same when Will hit a crazy vocal part was pretty cool to experience that appreciation shown from the crowd for the artist.

New Edition concert was dope, it was the first concert I been to that had a huge elaborate stage set up with multiple different production sets, several costume changes and different chapters of the show with breaks in between each chapter

Bobby Brown was there but he didnt stay on stage during the whole performance, they did a couple NE songs, then here comes Bobby to a huge applause to perform Dont Be Cruel, then back to NE for a few more songs then out comes Bobby again My Perogative

I think it was better that way because last year they tried to have him be part of the whole show and there was multiple videos all over social media of Bobby trying and failing miserably to keep up with the rest of the groups choreography and dance numbers

This way he just came out and did his song and his old man herky jerky dance moves and then backstage to rest for a bit

We missed Guy but Keith Sweat killed it with his smooth sexy R&B fuck music, had my girl hot and ready and melting all over

One thing that was noticeable was the vibe wasnt as party-riffic as it was in the last two New Edition/Bell Biv Devoe concerts that I went to, crowd wasnt dead but they also werent about to explode and blow the roof off the place either

Arctic Monkeys tonight
Damn, I gotta wait till October 1

How were they? They didn't play all that sleepy time music did they?

@TeTe Just saw the @ :D yeah the concert was pretty cool, last time I saw them was over 10 years ago. Lots of young kids in the audience though which surprised me a bit. Didn't know they are such a thing in that age group 17-20.

Have a look :) https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/arctic-monkeys/2023/zenith-munich-germany-bb82d2a.html

Any other gigs coming up for you? Where you gonna watch them? California I guess? :p
I'm going to see them at The Forum in LA.

Next concert is the Chili Peppers next weekend here in SD

Nice!

Pretty cool! Make sure you drop a little comment here then ;) Should be a fun jam to see them with Frusciante again. Have fun!

Anyone seen the Smashing Pumpkins on this tour? Thinking about going.

Not this "tour", but I saw them twice last year (my first time seeing them ever, in a festival environment), they were good enough live that I bought tickets to their next tour that came through with Jane's Addiction, and once again they were great live.

Thanks! Got the tickets and I'm stoked to see them.

Saw them in October.. going to see them in August.

In October they sounded great. I'm sure they'll be playing more off their new album this go around.

Are the Stone Temple Pilots opening for them? I know they are only opening for about half of their shows.

Looking forward to seeing Rival Sons on that tour too.
