I hope he didn't stash any bombs. Seemed to be very dedicated and capable.

do you really need military experience to shoot into a crowd successfully?

name a mass shooter that didnt have a prior clean slate....there are a few who had red flags beforehand, but most did not.
places like nevada have tons of full auto ranges ..that guy could have spent 1000's of hours practicing for this or at least learning to use them

Even still. 70 people is tragic no question about it

But there were hundreds of people there. And they were all packed really close together.

*thousands

And he still hit 500+(give or take. Some probably have injuries from being trampled and whatnot). I don't know how many rounds he fired, but it seems like it was a pretty successful rampage, unfortunately.

Wouldn't someone have come forward by now given the absurdly high profile nature of the attack is that were the case?

Ontop of which he has no known military experience. I know were not dealing with the whole story yet. But this guy makes zero sense, literally zero. He's a clean slate with no suggestive tactical background. I don't know what to say.

Yeah, he represents the worst case scenario.

No clues, no hints. If his "roommate" had no clue, then no one did.

I wonder how many of the 500 were collateral damage from the understandable hysteria of the crowd to flee against how many were actually struck by ammunition?

Agreed

How the hell do ems, hospitals etc handle something like this with literally hundreds and hundreds wounded in such a manner. I guess they have to prioritize but still the numbers just seem unmanagable

You know I've always wondered what his username was on the forums. It would be highly interesting to see what he was saying. Everytime I bring it up, nobody seems to be remotely interested in it though.

What in the fuck? That guy actually was a Sherdogger?

I didn't realize this was disagreed upon anymore.

Work in criminal law for any amount of time and you'll see that the "good guy with a gun" more often escalates the situation and ends up killing the wrong person(s) because they have shitty aim and aren't prepared for the adrenaline. That's been the main point of challenge to the felony murder rule when the perps are using fake guns and then Joe Schmo decides to bust out his piece and ends up killing a couple bystanders with his shit aim and close quarter ricochet.

Anyways, a quick goog turned this up.

"Slate"

!!!

Gee come on.

The situation will become more clear in about a week or so whenever the investigators piece this horrible act together.

There really isn't much to say until then no?

Maybe they have and the public hasn't been told of it.
It's likely if someone were to come forward they would have done so to the media. Even in tragedy people get their 15 minutes of fame so to speak and that's unfortunately the world we live in. Besides, why hide the fact that he got training on how to use an automatic rifle from such a place.

yeah...im impressed that they've done this good of a job thus far. 500+ injured and seemingly receiving medical care and being catalog in such a short period of time is pretty outstanding

damn i hate to add in the ridiculous race bait narrative -- but why are news reports identifying as white when they are showing pictures of him. Ive never seen that with a suspect who is in custody and or dead. If they are looking for him, sure...but not after the fact.

This is bait, because you know why. Youre better than this.

Its just an odd situation all around. A random wealthy guy gets his hands on automatic weapons and decides to fire on a large crowd from his hotel in vegas..... no criminal record. No ties to isis it seems ( and yes ISIS HAS falsely taken credit for these type of incidents)

I saw all these reports of people who were there claiming they saw multiple gunman and all this stuff but i guess that was untrue?

And than no that i think about it...with a fully automatic weapon firing into a crowd its insane that he didnt kill more people...

His father was a prolific bank robber and tried to murder a FBI agent many years ago. Even made the FBIs most wanted list when he broke out of prison. People can be genetically predisposed to be pieces of shit
