Not sure what value that is. You'd have to set it somewhere you expect a target to be and then shoot it. At least the time I tried it, if you hit the conainer wrong it wouldn't go off and there was no second try. Maybe he realized as much and that's why it sat in the vehicle.

Is that really gonna jam up the rifle such that dropping the mag and charging the handle don't clear up the malfunction? So I have two really good friends who originally lived in Vegas. Gave the one I'm closest with the head's up the morning it happened. He's part of a Whatsapp group of guys I text pretty much daily. He was a member of the Sherdog Clash of Clans clan (and trolled the shit out of me as leader all the time). I once posted a video of his blindfolded knife skills on the Dog. Of course he jumped on his phone, and was relieved to inform us that none of his immediate family were harmed.

Today, we got an update. Two of his cousins were shot. One was shot in the leg. The other is one of the 59.

I didn't know anyone else in the clan was from Vegas. I grew up in Vegas. I messaged all my friends and family immediately and everything was fine at first. Yesterday, my brother found out his friend died. Saw it on HuffPo. We also learned of a few family friends who were there, one was wounded. I'm going to check the official list in a few days when the dust clears and I kind of expect to see some childhood friends on the list.

I don't really know how to describe the feeling or make sense of any of this. Reading through this thread makes me actually, physically sick.

Pretty much. Personally, as shitty as it sounds I don't really change my mind all that much after these sorts of events either way. Its tragic but nonetheless rare and IMO before we start asking what we should do we really should ask if there's anything we can do. Free societies can only do so much to stop either sort of attack. Not free societies could ban Islam and guns and probably still face these issues while being, well, not free and thus a worse place to live in.
