I think analytics helped diminish Vegas' appeal. Casino's figured out comping doesn't increase their bottom line, so now you pay for everything. Last time I was there in '21, I had to go downstairs to a Starbucks, just to get $8 black coffee.The truth to that is ever since after Las Vegas opened after the shutdown, they've been getting a lot of ghetto people coming in and causing a TON of problems. Their solution is to price them out from coming to the city. The guy in the video is a good example of one.
Also, the homeless problem has hit the city pretty hard. Loses a little bit of the luster, when you're partying and see so many in misery.
