It was already known Dana wanted Angle to fight in the UFC, but I had no idea they wanted him to go through TUF.

Kurt also says he turned the offer down initially because the TUF contestants weren’t getting paid, but Dana offered to pay him to be on the show.

Kurt succeeded in another promotion, there is a documentary called "Warrior" 2011 proving that

I remember even back in 2009, people were doubting he could do anything in the UFC. I know Brock pulled it off, but Kurt would've been 40 for his first MMA fight. Would've been great had he jumped in the early 2000's. But doing real fighting after such a bad neck injury is just asking for trouble, especially in your 40s.

Angle had a shoot fight with mma vet Puder in wwe where he got hit with kimura. The problem is Angle probably didnt expect Puder to work that hard
It wasn't supposed to be a real shoot but Puder didn't realized it, thats why the ref counts to 3.

They did do Puder dirty with the receives after that for something that was clearly a mis communication

Imagine seeing Kurt Angle vs Kimbo Slice on TUF lol. Talk about when worlds collide.

I believe that "6 figure contract" they kept talking about for the winner of TUF was based on if you won your first 3 UFC fights. Old man Angle would've probably took 3 yrs to have 3 fights in the UFC to earn his $100K lol
