Kron Gracie

@TapMachine made a thread about how Maia had focused on his ability to take guys down in MMA so he could use his bjj, and that's why he's had success.

Kron should take a good long look at Maia (and Jacare) and focus on chain wrestling and alternative ways to get fights to the ground. World class level bjj is only valuable if you A) Have legit TD's or B) have good striking. Kron isn't gonna make his striking any more than average at best, so he should focus on TD's.

That said, he probably subs Caceras in rd 1. Alex has given up his back way too easily and often in his career to think he avoids it here.
Yep, I feel like Kron has made a horrible mistake of choosing to train with Diaz bros who are not precisely known for their amazing wrestling. He needs to train with guys like Askren and Woodley or Cormier so that he can learn how to transfer the fight to his preferred element.

LOL

Because he's the son of a guy who falsely claims to be 400-0, you assume he'll be a champion in the UFC???

LOL!!!!

Please share with me your future bet slips, so I can place all opposite wagers.

Just noted your idiotic account name. Everything checks out now.
Hey dumb dumb, he's fucking with you, idiot.

Stylistically true, and also...exactly how committed does anyone think the Diaz brothers are to training these days? What are they training for? Sure doesn't seem to be fighting. Hell, Nick isn't even hiding the fact that he doesn't want to fight anymore and just wants to party. I guess we'll see if Kron flames out of MMA like Roger did. You can't make the move to MMA half heartedly. You'd better be all in. Roger wasn't.

The only question with Kron is where his mind is at, I feel his motivation and commitment wavered a bit in recent years, but if I’m interpreting his interviews and reading his body language correctly, he is as focused and determined as ever right now.

I don't doubt they can teach Kron how to box pretty well in MMA, but the problem is that boxing is not the thing he should be focusing on. Terrible choice of training partners, I think.

is it true Kron Gracie is out of tonights fight?

I would love to see Kron do great but BLR is no walk in the park. He apparently has the greatest sig strike accuracy in UFC bantamweight history.

What? Who's reporting that? Penne/Esquibal is off, that's the only one I know of.

The second Kron enters he will be the best grappler in the UFC. Will it translate into victories? From what I've seen in his first 4 fights, his standup has improved each fight. Not like he's going to win fights with it - but enough to keep his wits until he gets an opening for a takedown OR somebody makes the mistake of taking him down. Once on the ground nobody is more lethal IMO, he attacks constantly, there is no stalling. He makes it look easy. Three 1st round subs and 1 second round sub in 4 fights. Kawajiri's was a tough guy to submit and just came off a pretty decision loss to Cub Swanson just before Kron subbed him in the second round. That's all we really have to go on when talking about UFC quality opponents. I hope he wins, it will be good for the UFC to have a Gracie competing at a high level again. After all, Uncle Royce built the house! Kron definitely has inherited a good dose of his Dad's genes. Compared to Royce, Renzo, Ralph, etc.. Rickson had real power to go with his techique, which helped him stay in mount and deliver solid downward punches and elbows. It also helped him in the clinch against larger fighters. Kron has some of that athleticism if not all of it. We shall see! Go Kron!

was editing my draftkings lineups and it says Penne match OFF and says the same for Gracie fight... just appeared about 30 mins ago

I'm on DK right now. It shows Penn and Esquibel in red (cancelled) but nothing with Kron/Caceras. AFAIK Kron/Caceras is good to go.

I dunno about him saying all that, but I do remember him implying that the failures of other, equally successful Jiu-Jitsu fighters is because their game lacked the ability to utilize their submission speciality. Now we’re going to see just how good he is at using his strengths against real opposition. I’m rooting for him but I think his record will be checkered once he faces stiff competition.
dat AV

Wallid with that look in his eye...

kron already is a better grappler than his father ever was.

if he is dedicated he can go far.

I like him a lot since he is also a man who understands he lives on a flat motionless earth
Is he seriously a flat-tard?

Jesus fucking christ.

Pulling for a leroy KO now

Legit lol.

These fucking turds need to go extinct.

smh

Honestly, I think Kron went through a weird phase for a bit, he started talking about higher vibrations and flat earth and shit. I think he’s a lot more focused now, though I don’t know specifically if he still believes in flat earth.

If Kron’s fight is off I’m gonna be royally pissed. This is the closest thing to Rickson Gracie being in the UFC, something I’ve always been curious to see.

Trains with the Diaz's on the regular.

Was training with Mac Danzig late last year

Was training with 6-0 boxer David Mijares recently
