Anyone knows kpop group with happy and cute songs similar to Twice?
I was listening to some of the newer songs and their music is so different than what it used to be.

hmmm... maybe Weeekly? for me the jewel in their crown (and one of the best songs of last year) is After School:


but a lot of their songs are quite up-beat, pretty high energy, and bright. their latest comeback is a darker girl crush concept though, which i think is kind of too bad.

Thanks brother. I have always felt heartbroken when the groups I liked change their genre. First Apink, now Twice. :oops:
 
Man, I hate to see that cute concept songs seem to be a dying breed now in Kpop. Hopefully one day it will make a comeback...

Sad indeed brother. It's the first reason I listened to KPOP in the first place. Songs like What is love, Heart Shaker from Twice, Mr. Chu from Apink, Sunset Glow from Big Bang is what got me into this genre.

I think the companies nowadays want to attract western audience so bad that they make generic western pop songs, not knowing that the cute happy concept is what attract people to KPOP in the first place.

When I use to hang out with a bunch of Koreans back in high school and my early college years I use to go with them to karaoke and they would always play H.O.T songs. This was back in the late 90s/00. I can still remember these 3 songs in my head. BTS don't got shit on them, haha!

Wow, HOT is a legend but I never listened to them before, thanks brother.

BTS is funny, a lot of their internationally popular songs aren't great for me, but their less popular ones are very good. Here are their songs I like.

That's cool. I don't really know much about BTS to be honest. Even though I heard the song Dynamite on the radio before I didn't know who the hell the group was. It wasn't until early this year I found out who they were, haha.

Yeah, if you want to listen to their songs, listen to their older Korean ones. Their international songs sounds just like any other western pops songs tbh. Every Kpop groups that venture to the west make this mistake for me.

Spring Day is a very great song too. Although it is also popular.
