I’d say the odds are not impossible at all, if Izzy loses his next fight which seems about 50/50 right now, and Kopylov wins his next two (which he looks like a good bet he will), people will be talking about him as a contender needing an elite test while Izzy will be viewed kinda like Usman now, like a high level gatekeeper to the top 5.

Still somewhat unlikely, but I’d give it a lot more than the 1% chance that you claim as they may be close in the rankings sooner than you think.

Izzy isn't a guy who's going to spend his latter years fighting up and comers, particularly random Russians. Maybe he'll fight one up and comer who he gets into a war of words with, but other than that, I'm not seeing it.
