Kopylov would wreck Izzy

I’m 6”4, been boxing and kickboxing for 5 years, undefeated record of 0-0. Should probably be able to push Stylebender’s shit in like the rest of the division guys, what do you think the odds are for this fight? I should probably be a big favorite innit?

The Izzy that showed up against Strickland would lose to a lot of guys.

We will have to see if he has anything left.

Also why are we arguing who beats Izzy? Havent we all unanimously decided that there is zero chance he recaptures the belt?

Strickland has better hands and better defense. better stamina and pacing too. i mean, this guy kicks but that's not always a good thing. other than that can't knock a guy with a KO streak, but Adesanya seems like a big leap in competition.

He should be ranked by now

Whats up with the media amateurs voting the rankings?

No I agree they're the same fighter pretty much. I saw them both fight within a week of each other. They both won. They both punched their opponents. The similarities go on and on.
Well, they do both have that style where they stand right in front of you but you’re unable to hit them yet they’re constantly hitting you back.

Time will tell, but I feel any MW striker is going to have a tough time with this dude, including Sean and Izzy.

No signs of slowing down and the hair is legit

The man who got out-kickboxed by Karl Robinson would out-kickbox Israel Adesanya, right.

He seems to train a lot in Daghestan. It will be interesting to see how he fares against good MW grapplers. The kid could be a lighter version of Nikita Krylov, looking for finishes when it starts smelling blood.

What if I told you that a guy who got submitted by Jim Miller, and Ricardo Lamas, and knocked out by Paul Felder, would go on to become the champ in the most competitive division?

Fighters are not stagnant.

But Izzy ain’t fighting him anytime soon

Sure

But I'm not convinced yet.

Roman is basically an anti-wrestler/sniper in his style.

When he faced a classical kickboxer like Karl he struggled considerably. Especially with Karl's kicks. That's a huuuuge liability to have against someone like Izzy. Roman has not shown to shore up that deficiency in his game yet (his 4 UFC wins not coming against the most impressive competition). I suspect that Roman is so reliant on being in control and able to pick his shoots that when he faces anyone who can reliably exhange with him his style runs into a wall.

He’s basically a more versatile Strickland with deadly kicks in his arsenal (plus he’s Russian so automatic double toughness rating), you know he’s not gonna fall for Izzy’s snake charmer shit.

Ya thread title might be a bit premature and click baity, but185 elite better take notice of this dude and so should you sherbros.

He baffles me

I watch this guy and keep thinking he is about to get knocked out...Then the fight goes on and he gets the finish..

Time will tell, dude needs a step up in competition and shouldn’t be on undercards of a fight night card anymore.

Maybe be he does look like he'll be fighting with the top dogs soon.

5 title defenses, beat Brunson, Gastelum, Whittaker x2, Romero, Costa, Vettori x2, Cannonier, Pereira.

Yeah what a fail of a career huh?
Lost 3 of his last 7, and just got beat by one many believed to be a gate keeper, so yeah. If Izzy was not so arrogant he would not
Huh nobody was as arrogant as Izzy? WTF? Are you serious?
Yup, not even Colby (who is another POS.)
