Knives

I'm surprised more of you guys don't carry a small folder. 90% of the time outside all I need is my sub 2" folder. It handles the job and is much more inconspicuous than using a 4"+ blade knife to open a box or cut tags or whatever the case may be.
Well, yea. I have a small swiss army knife on my keychain for utility purposes, a slightly larger folder in the console of my truck, etc.

I don't walk around with any of those big ass knives lol, except the maybe the Cold Steel folder pictured while hiking or something.

This is my daily carry and I use it for everything. 2inch auto.

Apparently para 2 is the GOAT with Para 3 being a close second. Why they gotta be $200 tho <1>

I bought mine years ago sometime around 2015/16. It was $120. It's a great a knife but honestly anything over 150 I believe is diminishing returns, unless you're knife collector. Lately my Endura 4 has taken up most of the pocket time, if I could go back I probably would have stuck with the Endura as my only knife purchase, but the addiction is real.

After you figure out your blade profile, the Endura is pretty much everything you need, and nothing you don't.

Yep I'm buying edc knives and can't edc them <Oku02>

I've gone down the pocket knife and multitool rabbit hole; I've been EDC-ing a Victorinox Compact since around Christmas, which I have enjoyed, save for the lack of a pocket clip. Ironically, I mostly use a box cutter at work because I don't like having to constantly clean and sharpen my "good" knives.

That said, this thread may just have inspired me to restart my rotation.

The Spyderco tenacious is made in China. Anyone had any problems with it?

Has anyone here bought this one? I wonder if it's actually a quality product.

Don't let knives from China detour you from purchasing them. Spyderco is pretty good with their quality control from over seas. Civivi/WE knives might one of best knife companies that came out in the recent years & most of their products are from China.

To answer your question, I haven't had problems with my tenacious when I owned it, aside from the pocket clip not have loctite everything worked fine.

It's from United Cutlery, so it's most likely a display piece. However, I had been surprised by their UDT utility knife designed by George Lainhardt. I liked the knife, I just couldn't bear looking at the SEAL Trident on the blade. I felt like a poser and sold it.

It's hard for me to digest, because everything they had made in China was strictly under their Byrd line. I remember when people got their feathers ruffled seeing Golden, CO stamped, instead of Seki City.

I bought a work sharp precision sharpener

fucking thing took the edge right off my RAT 1.

Winchester knife I've had for 16 years, it splits wood and cuts steak like a dream.

5 inch blade.

Ax/pliers/wire cutter/hammer and accessories...knife, file, saw, 2 screwdrivers, and a steak knife.
7 inches top to bottom.

It needs some love, just bought it but it all works like a charm, bought it for 3 dollars at an antique shop.
