Knives

knives can be a huge rabbit hole. It seems there is a huge edc craze going on and so many different designs and OEMs to pick from.

as for recommendations.
1.I am partial to the spyderco PM3
2. I have an ancient kershaw leek that will outlast me. USA Kershaws seem to offer pretty good bang for the buck
3. OTFs are a separate rabbit hole onto themselves. If you get the itch I would recommend buying a cheap one first to see if it is your thing before branching out to microtech, axial, guardian tactical etc.
4. fixed blades - I have two smaller ESEE that I use for camp knives that I am happy with

Can’t go wrong with Spyderco, especially para series

I like to rotate every now and then, but currently for 99% of cutting tasks I use a Victorinox compact.

In my other pocket I usually have something harder use just in case something more heavy duty pops up. Using a Demko 3V AD20.5 at the moment.

Idk if I can justify $200 on a pocket knife. The para 2 is that much. I may as well get an Adamas if I'm spending that kind of cash.

Endura 4 & Kershaw Blur for work, Paramilitary 2 for everything else. Yojimbo 2 when I'm out on the evenings or when I'm running. Opinel 8, Case Trapper & Victorinox Huntsmen. The Huntsmen comes with me everywhere.

I have this cheap spyderco, not sure what model that I mostly use at work but sometimes carry it everywhere.

Also have this Emerson Kershaw that opens as you pull it out of your pocket. Really convenient when you need to open a box or shank someone.

It didnt dawn on you guys over there that an unlocked blade is a safety hazard ?

You guys are alright with your government treating you like toddlers and retards or what?
I live in gay yurrp and in my country it s a bit weird: you can have a pocket knife that locks. But you must not be able to open it with one hand. In fact my EDC knife is a small Spiderco that was designed for the UK market as it is compliant with German laws too. I could have a fixed blade of up to 12cm but that s cumbersome to carry.

Looks like a Tenacious, one of the better budget knives on the market or if anyone was ever on the fence about getting a Spyderco that would be the knife I would recommend they try out from the company.

I think I found a new addiction: buying pocket knives. So far I have an Ontario RAT 2, Cold Steel American Lawman and a Spyderco Matriarch 2. Each one is the "last one" but now there's a Paramilitary 2 in my Amazon cart. Knife guys, what are your favorite knives? Which ones are must-haves? Inb4 all of them.
I keep one of these clipped in my coin pocket...

And something like this clipped in my main pocket...

Both have good steel but the sg2 holds an edge like a champ.

Yep. Tenacious is slightly less sleek and ergonomic than the para 2 but is a third of the price and has a larger blade

I hear ya. In my experience, most steels after D2 or 154CM have diminishing returns. $75-$100 is plenty to get a solid pocket knife. However, I’m a knife nut and I like to collect

It was definitely noticeably sharper than the Emerson, plus a lot lighter.

But it doesn’t open when you pull it from your pocket in case you are about to be raped.

Not a pocket knife but I have a Lionsteel M7 that I'm quite fond of. The kydex sheath is an absolute pain in the ass though.

Have a joker campero. Nice Spanish blade.

For my edc I have a Kershaw Mixtape that I fidget with every day. Have a Kershaw Method as well. Also have a Civivi Badlands.
