Tolerate yes, get along? Depends on the bitches. Females are the alphas in cat land, males only stay with the cat tribe as kittens but taking their balls fixes that.

I have a cat and a dog. The cat loves the dog, but the dog hates the cat most of the time. They do play a little together now and then, but the cat wants to cuddle and the dog growls at her.

I am trying to convince my wife to get another cat for our cat to cuddle and play with.

It's not going well.

I think it helps because the female defers to the older male to start with. Depends on whether she's a bitch or not. My girls dopey as F and the males are timid so everyone gets on.

Got a new kitten - from a farm 45 minutes away in the country. Nice farm - nice family. They invited us in and talked out ears off. Hard to leave lol - but my wife always wanted a Calico kitten and we thought it would be a trial to find one - but someone we know has cat connections
