Khamzat will never fight again

there is definitely way more to the story than what we are being told. no way one of their biggest contenders sits out for over a year because of "weight" issues. either he tested positive for something, or he has insane visa issues that go well beyond what we are used to hearing about. i'm guessing a combination of all of those.

once he gets an easy fight he'll return. but dana doesn't want to give him fights due to not making weight for the nate fight.

Visa issues aren't real. I've been to the US and Bermuda without any issues. Just get on the fucking plane. It's like taking an Uber.

Unless you are a literal terrorist on the no-fly-list you are fine. Last I heard Khamzat was not involved in any bombings.

Dana is a pussy. He gave Thiago Alves a title shot after missing weight and then uses it as an excuse to blacklist Khamzat because he's jealous of him.

something happened. what would that be i don't know, but i think it goes beyond making weight (speculating, i think it was the fact that he missed weight for a fight that could make nate look bad before leaving the UFC).

This guy has the most bizarre schtick I’ve ever seen in here. I don’t even know if he’s serious or just a massive troll. Literally everybody knows Dana would not keep a potential star on the bench. Especially because he’s “jealous”. That’s just crazy talk.

The UFC fucked up this whole thing. After beating Burns Borz should have had the next TS. But instead the UFC gave Usman the instant rematch and lost Edwards/Borz because of it. If Borz would have gotten that fight the whole Nate debacle never would have happened.

I have no idea why he isn’t fighting. I don’t know who is responsible for him not fighting. Dana says one thing, Borz says something else. It could be visa trouble. Befriending a guy like Kadyrov could 100% keep Borz from being allowed to enter the US. Maybe even keep him from entering other countries too. Maybe the only place he can fight is Abu Dhabi. I don’t know.

Some clarity on this thing would be really nice. But at this point I don’t even really care if he ever fights in the UFC again. The whole thing is so weird, imo.

It's really sad. We could have had had some terrific cards, tremendous buildups, and iconic finishes. But we lost it all, for no reason except Dana's petty jealousy.

I think Dana doesn't like any fighter getting more attention than he does. He has to be the star of the show, and Khamzat has been blackballed because he threatened to challenge Dana's monopoly on media attention.

Dana also wants to send a message to fans that boring fighters are the future. They don't want anyone getting too much leverage in contract negotiations.

I don't think think his missing weight had anything to do with it. Thiago Alves missed weight in a title eliminator and got a title fight off of it.

No, he won't fight in Abu Dhabi because Dana won't allow it.
I think you're WAY off on your psychological analysis of why this is happening. I think there are reasons that are political and MAY (or may not - I don't know) have to do with Khamzat's owner, Kadyrov.

But whatever the reason it's NOT due to Dana's psychological defects - that's absurd, really. They are running a 12bn dollar company and you think everyone is going is going to miss out on profit (the board of directors, the other execs, the shareholders) all to cater to Dana's psychology???

That is NOT how a public company is run, fellow poster. This is an asinine take. Probably with good intentions, but no company that goes from 4bn to 12bn can operate by everyone above and below ONE PERSON catering to their psychology as if that replaces profit motive.

Nope.

Someone's thinking better than TS!

Correction DUCKING NATe you mean followed by falsely saying everyone is ducking him. A guy that got put on skates and virtually planked by a lw. Saved by corrupt judged. Classic. <Moves>

Ah.... lol. I've been trolled.

Not bad Gr38, not bad at all. Kudos.

He had assault charges in Sweden, violent crime penalties in the country you reside in usually result in a permanent denial of visas to the US. I said this months ago and it's still a mystery for some reason to most.

Rustam Khabilov recently got tourist visa thinking that he will get another visa in US in time for his fight but it didn’t work.
I read that with dad of Khabib happened this - entered US with the tourist visa but was cornering his fighter so ended up on blacklist.

Abus Magomedov said that 9 years ago in Germany he was fined for slapping guy at some wrestling tournament. So he might not be able to get visa?

He has been in the US since his last fight but nice try

I think it's far too premature to say Khamzat will never fight again.

However, IF that turned out to be the case, blaming Dana White is just fucking stupid. Dana didn't make Khamzat miss weight BADLY. Dana didn't make Khamzat turn down the matchups they gave him.

Even if Dana was holding Khamzat back from a title shot, which I think is completely legitimate, Khamzat has been offered fights. He's turning them down or otherwise unable to fight, which is his own fault. If he can't make 170 and doesn't want to fight at 185, it's his own fault. If he doesn't want to fight non-champions, that's his own fault. If he can't get visas, it's his own fault.

Dana legally has to offer him fights or they need to pay out his contract.

interesting. can't think that the chechnya associated helped, but other fighters seem to be able to get back into the US just fine. sounds like they will need another UFC sweden card soon.
