Khamzat will never fight again

I just have a funny feeling that we've seen the last of him. The UFC is dead set on cockblocking his next fight with Burns and shows little to no interest in scheduling him.

My theory: after their bust up with Ngannou, the UFC brass have made a conscious decision to discourage avoid marketable and dominant champs whose selling power may exceed that of the UFC brand. Khamzat has all the hallmarks of one such fighter, and he's been frozen out as a result. They want bland, boring, uninteresting fighters with no name value, and who by extension are in a less advantageous position via a vis the UFC in contract negotiations.

Just my two cents.
that's exactly the direction the wwe went in

You make zero sense.
None.

Do we even know Khamzat can sell 300K PPV nm has true star capability? Yah, I love him, all the hardcore fans love him, but McGregor part two he is not (or atleast yet). He has the same very eager "I'll fight anyone, anytime, any place" attitude that McGregor had and the UFC loves that, but Khamzat has decided to let his team decide how to guide his career and they are going to be more picky than he, not to mention UFC wants to bring him along right and not blow their next potential big thing.

The Francis situation is different, as he is represented by a rival brand to wme and has taken a very aggressive tactic and been open that he wants to box, and UFC only let one fighter ever do that and that was for the biggest boxing match of all time where they made a killing for doing nothing. If they let Francis box then there will be a wave of other fighters asking for the same and UFC's carefully placed checks and balances systems will not hold - it is simply untenable.

Trolling -- with stinky bait.

I think TS meant the opposite?
Khamzat is the new kid on the block...they will feast off of him as much as they can, like a leech on a fatmans jiggly ass.

Yes the UFC wants to bury someone that is way too eager to fight.

Wtf kind of reasoning is this. An entertainment business dislikes having entertaining stars because they'll ask for too much?

His fight with Burns is UFC 273.

It's basically already confirmed outside some Visa issues that will likely be ironed out.

Exactly. They're in the business of selling fights, not fighters. It may have been different beforehand, but the Ngannou affair shows that there has been a sea change in their attitudes towards stars. They don't want anyone to rise above the brand.

If he fights at all by April, I'll change my username to TH3_C0CK5UK3R_43
So in other words you’re just a salty Ngannou fan, or what? You keep bringing up his name and the word star. He’s not a star. They tried to make him one, and he failed. Get over it.

Ballsey name change threat. Feb 18. If he fights by April.. lol.

Alot of goofy comments on here. Been a long time since he choked out Jingaling. Whats the hold up. Its a joke.

Yeah, a multi billion dollar company whose revenue is and has always been inherently reliant on marketable, interesting, and polarising fighters have just flipped the tables on their talent program because of Francis wanting to get a Fury/Wilder/Joshua fight that will never happen.

He probably ufc next biggest draw if he continues to fight.
