Khamzat will never fight again

Newsflash: Dana White wants the UFC to become a "Cuckold" company, wherein all monetary interests and assets are to be used explicitly to either bankrupt the UFC and/or promote and benefit UFC's competitors. Logic checks out.

I just have a funny feeling that we've seen the last of him. The UFC is dead set on cockblocking his next fight with Burns and shows little to no interest in scheduling him.

My theory: after their bust up with Ngannou, the UFC brass have made a conscious decision to discourage avoid marketable and dominant champs whose selling power may exceed that of the UFC brand. Khamzat has all the hallmarks of one such fighter, and he's been frozen out as a result. They want bland, boring, uninteresting fighters with no name value, and who by extension are in a less advantageous position via a vis the UFC in contract negotiations.

Just my two cents.

This is a bizarre take.

So they want no one to watch their pay per views? Sounds like a sound business decision

Why do I feel like he's the one who is taking his time to fight again? his constant call out on Twitter is just a show off.

It's worse than that. There won't be any cards after Saturday.

The UFC is tired of dealing with fighters and management period. They want it all to end and the sooner the better. Dana has gone completely grey so he'll never grow his hair again. They need this wild, wacky roller coaster ride to end definitively.

Their lawyers are in court trying to get MMA illegalized in all American states. I'm just waiting for their press release.
Agreed. The best course for business is to stop putting on fights. It’s the most lucrative path. Buy Endeavor stock now. They have figured it out.

I sorta think that while Khamzat could well be a smesher of the highest order, I don't get the vibe that he's cross marketable and a flight risk like a baby-headed Conor (sausage expanding out of its casing). So the UFC should just get on with it and let the fella bang, bruh.

My theory on why there hasn't been movement on the Burns fight is because they need to have it in Abu Dhabi so Khamzat can "make" weight, and thus, they're trying to figure out the logistics.

If he makes WW in the West, I'll gladly eat crow, but here are the facts.

1. He's only fought at MW in the U.S. and Sweden. All of his WW fights are in the Middle East.
2. He's bigger than most MWs.
3. He looks exactly the same at both WW and MW. The only difference is that he dwarfs his opponents at 170.
4. At his last weigh in, he held the towel and the scale fluctuated five pounds.

If I'm Ali, there's no chance in hell I'm letting Usman, Burns, Luque, or Muhammad fight him in the Middle East for all the reasons I listed.

Also, idk why the UFC doesn't just have him fight at MW. He can be just as big a star, is good enough to contend, and that division is desperate for fresh blood. Meanwhile, there's a logjam at the top of WW when it comes to the title picture. Maybe they want him and Izzy to each have their own things going, and thus, having them end up competing against each other in all likelihood would be counterproductive.
you think there is a logjam at ww?

I’m sure the ufc is salivating at all the contenders lining up for usman….

Not only is Khamzat the greatest fighter of all time without actually beating anyone.

Now he's about the beat the UFC itself.

Next up: Biden thinks about blacklisting Khamzat, hands too heavy, fears he might defeat the entire US army with his bare hands.

Delusional fanbase is often used here, but you motherfuckers are on another level. How are you this crazy?

TS is right and I would even go one step further.

There's a strong case Conor knew this all along and therefor lost his last fights against Khabib and Poirier on purpose.

Call me crazy but there's an even stronger possibility he broke his own leg on top of that just to secure himself a lucrative rematch before UFC will be finally done by suicide and no more red panty nights for noone.

Y'all heard that stock tip right here from kflo and me. Don't say you didn't have a chance to get in.

They're about to turn the game on its head and discover profits nobody even dreamed were there!

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how big corporations work, they’re focused on short to medium term decisions that increase shareholder value, UFC is owned by Endeavor, they have a financial nut to crack and they won’t pass up the opportunity for a huge star on the off chance he may be a pain in the ass one day. Could he potentially cause problems down the line? Of course, but you don’t make a business decision on the off chance it will go wrong. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Yeah the UFC definitely dont want stars who can sell tons of PPVs. I mean why would they.
They had no interest in Ngannou, despite his marketability.

They want Dana to be the top draw and the star of the show. The more selling power an individual fighter has, the more money they can demand.

That's their logic IMO.

You could have a point, it’s essentially what WWE is doing right now to their top guys. Brand loyalty is what these companies sell people on, not a good product.

His absence, like Jon Jones's is highly suspicious. I wonder if it's for the same reason.
Both healthy and constantly training....

Khamzat's last fight: 3 months ago.
Jones' last fight: 2 years ago.

Yes, a striking similarity...
