Khamzat will get pieced up if he stands with DDP

It's the exact opposite. If one guy is taking Khamzat down at MW it's DDP.
If he does have any success in the offensive wrestling vs Khamzat, I will bow down to the African King Dricus.

But it's kind of difficult to imagine.

DDP round 3. Easy work . Khazmat hype train derailed. He gets DDP down early but can't do anything with it then gets stuffed, forced into kickboxing exchanges, gasses out from continued takedown attempts , and finally finished round 3.
We'll revisit this after fight. You can bow to me then, it's ok.

We don't know much about Khamzat's striking development the last couple of years.

Judging him on his WW-brawl (2022) vs a guy he didn't want to grapple with, or 2 rounds where he was striking with Usman with an injured hand (2023), is probably not an accurate assessment of how his striking will look like in this fight, injury free at MW.

We do know that he has knockout power and is the biggest takedown threat in the division, which will play a factor in the striking.
You’re right there’s a lot of question marks around Chimaev. He’s still pretty unproven at this point.

Hehe, hopefully the next fight will tell us more.

His wrestling and grappling is very proven. I'd say his striking defense is where he has the most room for improvement.

Let's not forget Till was able to get DDP down.. let's also not forget that Khamzat has won rounds that sherdoggers say he looked fatigued in. Similar to Khabib, similar to Merab and similar to DDP himself.. those who don't fight, thought those guys had bad cardio, then those same guys became the praise for cardio output and gas tank.

I think it's a bit understated how bad of a matchup Khamzat is for Dricus.

Dricus says himself that he's not the best wrestler, grappler, or striker, but that he's the best at mixing everything together in an MMA-fight.

His offensive wrestling will likely not be a factor at all in this fight, which is something that he used well vs Till, Izzy, Strickland.

His style of striking can also be more "wild" because he doesn't fear getting taken down, blitzes, high kicks, throwing punches off balance, will be a bit more difficult to get away with vs a takedown threat, who very likely can be able to control him once he gets taken down.

Relying on his physicality and granite chin to get his own offense in is also more dangerous vs someone with just as much power as him than vs Rob, Till, or Strickland.

Just as we have seen Khamzat make mistakes vs Burns in the striking, we've seen Dricus make mistakes in grappling vs Brunson and Till.

This fight has less room for errors for the both of them, as it should be in a title-fight.
+1

Khamzat is dangerous. Possibly the most dangerous UFC opponent Dricus has faced. DDP certainly won’t be taking Khamzat as lightly as TS is.

Like most high level UFC fights, the elite wrestler/grappler will win.

And new.

I don't think pieced up is the correct terminology. Pieced up is usually used when someone uses there technically superior striking. If anything Dricus is going club Khamzat in the the ugliest yet affective manner.

Not only does Khamzat have the takedown threat but he has KO power. Say what you want, but he beat Burns standing who gave Usman a tough fight and dropped him.

I think it's disingenuous to say DDP outstruck Izzy, so it's the same for against Khamzat. Izzy wasn't taking down DDP or have the same threat.

LOL since when has DDP " piece up " anyone. I mean he can land a big strike and drop Khamzat sure, but piece him up?? Lol DDP is not the type of striker that outclasses anyone with his striking. Hes not piecing up anyone especially a fighter like Khamzat LOL
