When he actually gets tested and has a close fight with the number 2 Welterweight in the world who dropped the P4P number 1, it means he's exposed and isn't very good...

Gotta love Sherdog logic :D
Usman was barely dropped one time vs. Burns he recovered immediately then absolutely destroyed and finished him in round 2 without a scratch on his face. Meanwhile….

….Khamzat gets his face bashed in by Burns blood everywhere dropped and clobbered, gassed beyond belief, couldn’t get Burns to the mat and hold him there for smesh to save his life. Basically went life and death in a sloppy brawl to barely squeak out a decision….Levels

People had built him up so much that it was impossible for him to meet those expectations. He’s very good and a problem for anybody. But he’s not the untouchable, unbeatable monster people had made him out to be. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Usman isn’t unbeatable either. Colby gave him all he could handle twice and Burns had him hurt. WW is deep with a diverse talent pool.

You Khamzat fanboys aka Russian worshippers been talking crazy lately talking about he would walk thru Usman or Izzy lol

Wtf you expect to was going happen? Yall claimed he was God and he smesh everything

i mean, he's not dominant anymore, he's a fighter now the mystique is gone, we thought he was a gamebreaker with his dominance but he's not and nobody else is either currently.

Its been a long long long time since an unranked guy went from fighting other lesser ranked guys to beating a number 1 or 2 contender for the belt.

Who was the last to do it? Brock maybe?

People expecting him to dominate burns obviously haven't been watching the UFC for very long. Literally the man just put usman on his ass several times last year, and pretty much ate wonderboy alive. I find it ridiculous the disrespect burns gets when he has proven himself against multiple elite fighters in the WW division. I guess a nice guy persona really doesn't pay off anymore.

That was a heck of a war and I had it at 2-1 for Khamzat (round 1 and 3). He was definitely sloppy at times, but he has been saying for ages now that he wants a war and wants to be tested. I wonder if thats why he went away from wrestling today. Maybe a combination of that and giving too much respect to Burn's BJJ.

His team needs to gameplan a bit better the next time out. Tidy up the striking and what not. But Khamzat has shown that he can win hard fights against elite fighters on his feet. Thats pretty scary considering wrestling is by far his most lethal weapon

nobody has ever been exposed more than khazmat tonight in the history of the ufc.

People like the idea of super dominant champions but then get bored with the inevitable outcomes of all their matchups. If he's going to have a compelling career I think you need to see him overcome vulnerable moments. Some outstanding questions were answered and he still came out with a win.. it is good to see a big mouth shut up sometimes, but he won a fight people said would be a big test for him, what's the problem lol

wrestling is a weird thing, it works until it doesn't, will it work against usman? colby tried and he was the better wrestler and no, it didnt work, a lifetime of training out the window in one minute.

It's about expectations. A lot of people thought he was an Anderson Silva/Jon Jones/Khabib level fighter who would run through everyone on the way to the title.

He's not that, but he's just one level below that caliber of fighter, and that's still amazing.
Anderson and Khabib had a lot more experience by the time they went to the UFC

Khamzat started training MMA in 2017, it's insane he is beating the #2 guy already

if he wants to strike he better learn what his body can do. He cant enter pockets and exchange hooks with shorter men, he cant even look for knockouts.

Khabib simply never fought an elite guard player so it's simply impossible to know how he would have done.

Cut up, stumbled repeatedly and dropped by a former LW with average striking

29-0 unscratched, never dropped now and forever. Khabib just has way better fight iq, grappling, cardio and boxing defence.

Fought way better strikers than Burns and never got touched.

Former LW, Gilbert "Dan Hookers Victim" Burns nearly beat MW Khamzat tonight... some may argue he did.

One of main Muslim ruleset is to keep promises, right...? Cuz i wonder if Khamzat is still so confident about beating Jiri in LHW / MW. <45>

For sure. Even he admitted he was too aggressive and eager to get the KO. If he flights more patient and just kept him at range with jabs and straights then he might have picked him apart for the KO.

Burns was just headhunting, throwing big looping punches towards the end.

You realise Anderson lost like 4 fights before he even got to the UFC at 32... and still had that untouchable aura and is widely recognised as the GOAT...

Khamzat is 27, still undeafted and on the way to fight for the title in his 5th UFC fight... but somehow he's been "exposed" now.... loool you're literally one of the examples that made me write this post
