News Khamzat out until after Ramadan

Once a year type of champion, not surprised, fought 4 times in 2021-2022, i guess those levels of activity are long gone.

For Khamzat it's not just a little bit of money.

Ramzan Kadyrov in Chechnya is one of Russia's billionaire oligarchs, and a wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity. He is internationally sanctioned. And Khamzat gave his belt to the Kadyrov's, and they are likely giving him millions of dollars.

It's almost guaranteed that Khamzat makes more money from the Kadyrov's just holding the belt, than he does actually fighting.

Oh yeah, I'm aware. I'm reasonably sure they all get some sort of "stipend" from a patron of the arts once they hit a certain level. No need for that stipend to be millions, takes far less than that to live very comfortably in Chechnya. Supposedly he splits time between there and the UAE.

Ramadan is over in less than a month, so that would be expected. If he doesn’t want to train or fight during it, ok, he’s too big of a star for them to argue about this. The issue is he still doesn’t have a fight announced.

I don't understand why this is such an issue.

If the dude can't fight nor train during Ramadan then the solution is simple. Fight right before Ramadan begins.

He can always try to schedule a fight for the January or early February event, then he can rest his body during Ramadan.

If he did this, he could easily fight just as frequently as any other champion.

The fact that he doesn't do this shows his lack of desire to fight.

This clown really hates money
It’s the total opposite. He does not need to fight because he gets piles of money and lavish gifts posing as a Kadyrov puppet, teaching his kids wrestling etc. Dana’s 100k or whatever he pays him is nothing in comparison. He is set for life in Chechnya and it would be better if he just retired instead of holding the belt hostage. But I think the dictator would have to agree to that first.

Give Khamzat an opponent and date, and then KC can decide whether or not to show up.

Either way, there will be a champion on that day because two people will fight for that belt and opportunity. It's not fucking rocket surgery. Dana will still own KC until he fights again or retires.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume after Ramadan is over we're still not gonna hear anything from Khamzat.

In fact i'll say it now - we're not going to be hearing about any potential Khamzat fight until atleast June. Guy seems impossible to deal with.
You will hear about him tho.

He will tease fights in twitter.

TBH.. they should book him vs McGregor for the X.com drama whore belt

I don't think Ramadan has anything to do with it lol. He wouldn't have been fighting soon anyway.

Kid doesn't want to fight.

Probably the UFC holding him for the next Abu Dhabi / Saudi card anyway.

He was asking for a quick turnaround after he won the title and they flatly refused.

Looks like Chiamev is out until after Ram-a-Dan? Two things with this:

1. I didn't realize he was gay.
2. Why's he gotta ram a dude named Dan before he can return to the cage?

I hope the Dan in question isn't Dan Lambert. That dude is old as hell.

Its the problem with fighters who reside in third world countries, a little bit of money goes a long way.

Khamzat switches the country every few years <lol>
He was a long time in sweden which is more expensive than the US, then in the US and now he is in the UAE, which again is more expensive than the US. At least the part where he is living.

But he gets a lot of money from muslim dictators, warlords and prince.

So what, Ramadan is over in 22 days.
Funny how they act all religion like but at the same time are literally trying to smash the opponents brain into a slurpie. I'm pretty sure Islam ain't preachin about bashin a mans skull in for the love of greed and pride.

That's bullshit. Show me the evidence that the UFC refused.

I could say that Khamzat was running his mouth and then turned down the fight when offered. Where's the proof for either of our claims?

Excuses excuses.

It's crazy how he fought a ton in 2020 to now being a once every year or two fighter.

He'll never fight Alex until Alex is 45 or something.
Honestly I think Khamzat is mentally weak and terrified of losing. He was on a roll for a while there and probably felt unbeatable. But then the Burns fight gave him a scare.

After he got a scare and didn't dominate the Burns fight the way he thought he would, he started showing his behaviours of being afraid of losing. Taking longer between fights. Overtraining. Coming in with too much weight that he couldn't successfully cut. Dude is terrified of losing. That's why he took no risks against DDP. Because he'd rather maintain position and win a decision, than go for a finish and burn himself out.

Now Khamzat pulls out of a fight if he has any injury or illness during training camp. If he can't be 100%, he pulls out. If every fighter did that, like 75% of fights that get scheduled would end up cancelled. Khamzat shouldn't be allowed to do it.
