Not a single LHW here. Khabib out of competition probably weighs around 180-185. In fight shape, 175-178. Dieting + fight shape probably gets him down to 167-172

He'd be giving up the size advantage that he has at LW but he'd be relatively normal at WW.
You don't actually believe Usman walks around at 185, do you? Lol...

I mean there are a few relatively undersized fighters at WW, but that list is bogus

Just watch him nearly kill himself for hours, then miss weight anyway. In all my time watching prize fighting weigh ins, I've never seen the scale be done that quickly.

Well suspect.

I don’t feel bad for any of them. Cutting weight is a choice.

The ultimate in armchair quarterbacking

Yeah, can never break him in the octagon at 155 but he's too scared to go up to 170 and not have to deal with the weight cut to 155. He's cleared out 155, yet he won't go up to 170 to really test himself. And if he really wanted that GSP fight, he wouldn't need GSP to go down to a weight GSP has never fought at before. He would go up to 170 and fight GSP there.

All the tales going around of Khabib dominating guys bigger than him in practice, yet he kills himself to make 155? It's very contradictory. If he dominates guys that fight at 185 in training, going to 170 shouldn't be a problem. He's retiring at his physical prime instead of going up to 170. On top of that, claiming he fights for legacy and not going up to fight GSP at GPS's weight class? He can cement a true legacy if he clears out 2 weight classes. Khabib's the Floyd Mayweather of MMA.

Source for that?
You’re calling Khabib the Floyd Mayweather of MMA as though that was a bad thing lol. I’m a boxing fan even more than an mma fan, NOBODY questions Floyd’s greatness as a fighter. He’s one is the best to ever do it, like Khabib.

As the yrs have passed I’ve noticed that the whining about Floyd cherry picking opponents has gotten less and less. The same will be true for Khabib. Once he’s out of the game for 10 yrs there won’t be anymore fools calling him a weight bully. Time gives everyone perspective. Right now Khabib haters are still emotional so they can’t appreciate his accomplishments properly.

Khabib is a WW killing himself to make LW for a size advantage. Similar to Conor being a natural LW killing himself to make FW in the past.

I'm glad I'm not a fighter. Weight cutting sucks.

He is making at least 10m a fight, he is ok. Imagine doing something close to this to earn 15/15 minus taxes and camp expenses...

You seem to be implying that Khabib's a boastful hypocrite when he's clearly stated that 170 would be too tough for him and that guys there would be bigger and stronger. Look at any interview he's done where he's asked about it. Even in regards to GSP he's said, that GSP would have the advantage on him in 170. His huggers on the other hand...sure.

Sure but Khabib has an advantage over Georges because he's in his prime and at the peak of his abilities. If Khabib can beat Georges at 170 it would be very impressive and cement his legacy.

Rich or poor, weight cutting fucking sucks. For any sport.

No it wouldn't. People would just move the goalposts like they do after every fought. It's always the same plot. Biggest threat to khabib before the fight. After the fight, x fighter was too scared to fight his fight.

170 sounds fair to me. Khabib in his prime vs Georges at the weight class he became GOAT in. The fight won't negatively effect Khabib's LW legacy. The fight also won't negatively effect GSP's legacy. It's not right to call GSP out to make a weight limit that he cannot make. What good does beating GSP in that scenario do?

It's fair because he has the leverage. He's undefeated, has the bigger name. GSP is a legend no doubt but GSP can't be coming back and picking fights on his terms when he hasn't been active.

People hate it when Conor does it. I think 170 is more realistic but like I said it doesn't matter what weightclass khabib beats gsp at. If he does so, GSP is old he almost got beat by one eye bisping, he's been inactive x amount of time, etc etc.

GSP has more to gain from fighting khabib than khabib fighting him. IMO. If GSP loses, it's really no consequence

Not surprised if he stays retired. That was gruelling to watch let alone go through it.

Agreed. Could even be argued the weight cuts are more harrowing and damaging to long term health than the actual fights.

There's no glory in beating a compromised GSP at 155. If Khabib wants that fight he needs to find his balls and fight him at 170 or be quiet.

There's no glory in beating gsp at this point, period lol. I think if khabib wants a big marker for his legacy, he has to move up and fight the ww champion or just have a longer reign at LW.
