Any body else like this match up?

Stylistically Edgar could be a tricky opponent for Khabib. Small, fast, good wrestling, good movement, good boxing, great cardio, hard to get down and hard to keep down.

Would be an interesting fight.

I think he may be too small to deal with Khabib.

Too small, come on now.

My first instinct as well.

Then again. Frankie has been undersized most of his career and I can't really recall a fight where anybody was able to hold him down for a significant period of time.

I love Frankie, but he's too small and probably even too old at this point. He's 36 and has been through a ton of 5-round wars. A really fast 30-year old Edgar would have the best chance, but Khabib probably still takes it due to his size/grappling advantage. Frankie is always game so it could be a war, though.

I just want them to re-book Edgar vs Holloway ASAP

I never saw his first fight with Maynard, but apparently that was the only fight where he was outgrappled. He held his own and more with Maynard's wrestling in their 2nd and 3rd fights, though.

Forgot about that one. Thanks.

Edgar would get murked. He's way too small. LWs these days are bigger than they were when he was on top, and he was undersized even back then.

If Edgar should change wc, he should go down.

I too small

he's too small and old

Khabib would rag-doll him.

Remember, gray maynard out wrestled frankie in their first fight...while edgar has good wrestling, I don't think it's at the level of khabib's...and this would absolutely be a grappling match, for the most part.

Frankie has spent a career fighting and beating bigger men, he has the movement, wrestling and striking to keep Khabib off him. I can see a 50-45 Frankie but then again I can also see Khabib smeshing.

This thread pretty much proves what I've been saying. There's no point in mentioning anyone having a shot at Khabib right now. Edgar, while he may not win, poses a interesting stylistic match up, which is blown off because he's "too small"

He's tough as fuck, scrappy, has endless cardio, and is much harder to take down and keep down than most, and yet the only real responses are

NOPE TOO SMALL

NEXT

Honestly Khabib is lucky he isn't a natural 135er or 145er, guys like Dillashaw, Cruz, Edgar or Aldo would all be horrible matchups for him if they were the same size.
