I dont base my opinion on Conor's TDD on one fight. Tibau fight a long time ago,and he was a gigantic LW. He is way better at TD;s than Eddie,and he will throw Conor at the ring lights and then give him one a these.

And anyone who brings up injuries and pullouts are frightened about Khabib's abilities

All this talk about Conor dropping Khabib from one punch is laughable. We have no idea how hard his chin is, but Khabib's not a fool. He will trade with Conor a few, find his opening and take him down, no bumrushing. After that its suplex city for Conor. Then again, i don't expect McGregor to actually fight Khabib anytime soon. Can people stop talking about Khabib vs Tibau already?Tibau was bigger,stronger guy who actually knows to wrestle and put that into combination and you see the result.I said before Eddi vs Conor fight that Eddia is not a threat to Conor in any sense let alone wrestling,Khabib IS.Conor will have to work hard and defend really good in clinch in order not to get taken down,Khabib wrestlers with DC and Luke on a daily basis,he is the stronger and better wrestler.Conor can crack him and hurt him when Khabib comes in and that will tell us who is going to win.Cause if Khabib survives and still gets the fight down(look for Cain vs Kongo fight) than its Khabib's fight.

Setting a record for takedowns just shows that he couldn't hold his opponent down for very long. It also reeks of desperation.
As I said, this is a meaningless discussion if the Khabib-Ferguson fight takes place, because then we will likely never see a Khabib-Conor fight.

Assuming that to be the case, does it make a difference? He gets points for his takedowns regardless, he made sure Trujillo couldn't get a single punch in regardless. It made sure he got the unanimous regardless.

Personally, as a keen fan, I know why he went with that strategy because he's said he's going to do it again. He was trying to humiliate Trujillo, because of what happened at the weigh-ins and backstage. Khabib wanted to shake hands but Trujillo scoffed him, then they got into a scuffle at the staredown. This was him torturing him. You could literally see it in Abel's face, he was broken.

Eddie was able to grab Conor, he just did not chain his TD's. He was even able to get Conor up against the fence but gave up and decided to dieded by throwing lousy right hands
