i mean, he has become better than him in actual accomplishment, which is the only falsifiable objective metric. what you're saying is speculation. plausible speculation, but still only speculation.

No it's not the only feasible objective metric.

Islam has been knocked out, dropped, rocked went life and death with about 5 different fighters, even low level guys like Martins, Wade and guys in b orgs.

Khabib is per round far more statistically dominant. That is an objective metric.

Not to mention he whoops on Islam.

He's on a similar level as Holloway in terms of the GOAT discussion imo. In other words he had an impressive win streak with 3 defenses. Max went on a 14 fight win streak at 145 and defended 3x, Khabib won 13 straight at 155 with 3 defenses. Khabib doesn't have the losses but he also didn't fight anybody as good as Volk or Topuria, nor did he go up a weight class.

jones, silva, gsp. in dat order then it gets close to close out the mount rushmore. mighty mouse, khabib, nunes, fedor, gracie. probably a half dozen others could be thrown in the mix for the last spot. id give it to khabib tho. had an unbreakable will despite a limited skillset and never lost

Me, but for what he represents. His team. His family. His introduction of an area of the world that are really fucking good at this based on his father. His work ethic. His life ethic. Theology aside, Khabib genuinely seems to be a very earnestly good person.

Umm 1 is a career featherweight that has never missed weight, the other is a lightweight that missed weight 2x.. Who would win in a fight against the 2 is besides the point, Max took it on 6 days notice and was forced to stop cutting weight by the commission.. he didn't "pull out". He always took on the tough challenges, Went up to fight Poirier, Gaethje was supposed to smoke him etc.. Meanwhile Khabib hung around in a weight class he was too big for.
