For sure Conor has better footwork than Al and would most likely be using more lateral movement than Al was, but the fact that Khabib was able to hit that low single from so far away tells me Conor has no chance.
Conor can be on his bicycle all he wants. Khabib will slowly stalk him and from outside of striking range, can shoot for a very low TD. Al wrestled in college and was unable to stop it. I really don't think Conor can stop it. Conor would be taken down at the beginning of every round. He is not getting up once taken down.
Conor has probably been working on his TDD and ground game the last 2 years but it will not be enough. Then there is also the cardio issue, especially if he is on his back, just trying to survive. This fight would be a nightmare for Conor.
