Both Aldo and Khabib were tested numerous times against fighters who didn't cater to their fighting style.

Khabib is only fighting standup guys and he isnt beating them with his standup. He isnt taking risks. My point is he cares about legacy but he has no legacy. He has never beat anyone who could test him. Only favorable matchups.

Khabibs record is padded and until he tests himself he will never be truely great.

The only two high level ground game guys he fought werent even ranked and they both made him look average at best. He only wants favorable matchups. He isnt great. He is one dimensional.

Colby is a nobody who has to earn the right to fight Khabib. If Colby is so sure he can beat Khabib, let him cut down to 155lb and try to take Khabib's belt. Khabib is too busy defending his belt in the most prestigious and talent stacked division in the sport, he does not need to move up to prove anything. Colby would get absolutely destroyed by Khabib, since he struggled with RDA badly (couldn't keep RDA down, got outstruck by RDA, got taken down 3 times by RDA) while Khabib completely dominated RDA on the ground and in the wrestling department.

Also, funny how you say that Khabib has not fought any fighters with a high level ground game, when he has outgrappled RDA and Poirier - both legit BJJ blackbelts (Eddie himself called Poirier a legit BJJ blackbelt on th emost recent Fight Companion when Khabib subbed Poirier). In fact, at this point Khabib has legitimately outgrappled more high level grapplers than Ferguson, who has literally never outgrappled a BJJ blackbelt on the level of RDA or Poirier, yet for some reason Khabib is supposed to be afraid of Ferguson, lmao.

Nobody says you have to find Khabib or any other wrestling-heavy fighter exciting, but please, let go of the desperate attempts to discredit any fighter who fights differently from what you like to watch.

Khabib right now is the same as when Ronda Rousey was beating up a womens division with nobody who could keep it standing, or Anderson Silva when he was knocking out Brawlers, the only way anybody can see him as a great is if he beats people who have his skill set, which are plenty of guys at 170, hes got free pickings with the guys in his division because they are all brawlers, strikers and mediocre BJJ guys.

He beat Conor after Nate Diaz beat him twice. He beat Michael Johnson who Nate Diaz smoked standing. He beat gatekeeper who just lost to Felder.

And he struggled against Al Iquinta who came off 2 year layoff and fought him on short notice who wasnt even ranked....who ended up getting smoked by Cowboy who Nate Diaz destroyed.
