It is, I'm afraid, the mindset of the stone age. If you get upset about Charlie Hedbo cartoons, tough fucking shit. They should be published widely and plastered on every street corner. This is the West. We are not going to tolerate informal blasphemy laws or threats of violence against those who 'insult' Mohammed.

Respecting others culture? The Muslim world in general has less respect for other cultures and make like difficult for non-Muslims. Just today, a non-Muslim Pakistani woman was acquitted of blasphemy (against Islam) which carries the death penalty. She had to sit in prison for 8 years before her acquittal. And her life is still in danger since religious parties and clerics have condemned the judgement. And her whole blasphemy thing seems to be completely made up by her accusers. Kindof weird that your first words were "hypocrisy and manipulative".
