Khabib Interview in Turkey (Translation)

those were not terrorism attacks, the attacks were not carried out to stop free speech like charlie hebdo

where this bullshit narrative comes from ? who said that ?
you're totally misinformed and don't know anything of the context. let me tell you something. to me it was very clear that this situation could backfire. it was a response of their never ending provocative publications.
nothing to do with islamist trying to stop free speech.

not trying to condone anything but these are facts.

lol what? your comment is one giant contradiction, you are saying it was a response to comics making fun of islam and then say it has nothing to do with islamist trying to stop free speech
{<huh}

If this leads to the downfall of Khabib then what a sad fucking way to end it, lets see if he keeps his word and not show up to the hearing....BREAKING! He will go lol It seems as if he doesnt understand how the world works outside of his little home, thinking what he did was not wrong just because Conor started it {<jordan}

ok so provide an example in america similar to charlie hebdo, you seem to think such an attack is not limited to muslims
Some of the apologetics in this thread, whether for Khabib or over Charlie Hebdo, are so pathetic that they aren't worth responding to.

If Khabib isn't who I say he is, he wouldn't have association after association with the kind of people he hangs around with. That is Khabib, not me.

If Khabib isn't who I say he is, he wouldn't express the attitudes and views that he does. That is Khabib, not me.

If there was nothing to see here, there would be nothing to discuss. That is Khabib, not me.
I was wondering who wears stuff like this, so i googled it and this article popped up.

https://thoughtcatalog.com/karen-ro...not-charlie-hebdo-and-you-shouldnt-be-either/

Article ends with

"I sincerely hope that France will take this opportunity to make protecting human dignity a far greater priority, and to ensure that the human rights of Muslims are protected to a much greater degree in French society"

{<doc}

Bunch of radicals shot up people over cartoon and that's the conclusion he drew out the situation.
actually make sense if you study the post-colonialism france there was a lot of antisemitism, anti-muslim, blacks sentiments the french government closed up university that was pushing these sentiments in 2002
keep in mind many muslims stood with charlie after the attacks in france however outside france they were splitted
''Freedom of speech always has limits. Nobody believes that racial vilification should be legal. Nobody believes that advocating violence should be legal. Nobody believes that harassment should be legal. Nobody believes that publicly approving of terrorism should be legal. Nobody believes that threatening people should be legal. Even the most dedicated, die-hard free speech zealots agree that all of these things should be against the law. Freedom of speech always has to be balanced against other freedoms, such as freedom from racial vilification. Everyone recognizes that freedom of speech is not absolute, and nobody is saying that it is. But the international response to Charlie Hebdo does not seem to take this into account.''
great article

damn !!! man i didn't want to disrespect you but you're going full retard right now. what's that hard to understand ?
first of it was not just about some comics making fun. in france a lot of comedians make fun of islam and muslims and no one have any problem whith that including muslims but charlie hebdo was very very agressive with their publications and utterly provocative toward muslims. i think i know way more than you about the whole situation

bro, who cares how provacative they were, you are not getting the point. They got triggered by comics, period.

This same Charlie Hebdo you keep crying about fired one of their longest serving cartoonists for publishing a cartoon that joked about Sarkozy's son never having to worry about money because he married a Jewish woman. Jewish groups in France protested the stereotype and Hebdo reacted by getting rid of their most famous and respected cartoonists. This was years before the incident you're bitching about.

They acted like cowards and surrendered the moral high ground a long time ago. They're nothing but a bunch of hypocrites, as are their supporters who ignored what happened to that cartoonist.

Charlie Hebdo can go do one, bunch of hypocritical scum, once again proof a certain tribe is the most feared amongst the white looking people.

Doesn't matter. In civilized countries you don't kill for being provocative.

Provocative speech should be protected. Only evil, deranged extemists let words provoke them.

Respecting others culture? The Muslim world in general has less respect for other cultures and make like difficult for non-Muslims. Just today, a non-Muslim Pakistani woman was acquitted of blasphemy (against Islam) which carries the death penalty. She had to sit in prison for 8 years before her acquittal. And her life is still in danger since religious parties and clerics have condemned the judgement. And her whole blasphemy thing seems to be completely made up by her accusers. Kindof weird that your first words were "hypocrisy and manipulative".

let me tell you this. i'm not condoning violence and terrorism of any sort. but those charlie hebdo's guys were a bunch of has been from the 70/80's who had a hard time to adapt to the new mentalities. the world has changed a lot from then. they were way past their time. some subject became more sensitive nowadays, but the real thing is they literally put themselves in a kind of war mode, many said they were going past the point of no return and were even in fear of terrorist attack because them.

you are simply proving my point buddy.

The whole "I did nothing wrong, Conor is completely at fault" spin is ludicrous. And it's even more baffling that people accept that, just because of their dislike of McGregor.
You know this place has it bad when people are rooting for the bully poor sport. Last time I really saw this on this level was Ronda after Meisha, when she wouldn't shake her hand and people were saying Meisha deserved it 'because she shouldn't talk about her family!'. Both Ronda and Beebers are very similar too.: both undefeated, massive egos, poor sport, bad people, trained originally from little kids by their parent, cried terribly when they lost in the ammies, etc. When Khabib loses, it is going to be real real bad - that is, if he sticks around long enough. He has all this new fame and is running circles for Ali, but he has never had to deal with this before. This same fame and celebrity status is what arguably killed both Conor and Ronda, so it will be interesting to see how Khabib deals with it. He just seems to be storing up too much bad karma for a good ending.

stop living in fantasy and wake up guys. the geopolitical context need to be considered in how we live together.

Provocative speech should be protected. Only evil, deranged extemists let words provoke them.
to me this kind of narrative is pure hypocrisy.

Wow man that shit is fucked up and deserves to be known.
Youre so right man
