GSP couldn't convincingly beat johnny hendericks towards the end of his career, and now people expect him to come back years later and beat khabib? You've got to be having a laugh. Khabib also subs bisping

Its really easy to determine the outcome prime vs. prime . Everything else is nonsense. The reason why it is only hypothetic is because Khabib never felt comfortable to test himself to the vast superior wrestlers at WW compared to LW. He is all about legacy and would have jumped in a heartbeat at the chance.

That he not once even campaigned for it is a fact and important as Khabib himself did not see himself capable of being victorious. A WW prime Jonny Hendricks is leagues above every opponent Khabib ever had and with better wrestling then any of Khabibs opponents.
So really kind of stupid to hold that against GSP.

At WW Khabib is nothing and not only GSP but most elite WW wrestlers would have smashed him. Just as GSP is nothing at MW despite his one win.

Regarding nowadays I dont consider that much more than a freak fight as both are retired.

Khabib was lighter in his championship fights compared to what he was previously when he was having trouble cutting weight. So his weight against Tibau is likely not far off what his weight was after he got a nutritionist.

GSP was a large WW at his time, but would be considered small now. If Khabib moved up in weight, he would also be a small WW. Would be awesome if they had a 165lb weight class and moved WW to 175. I think there’s just too much weight between the classes.
