Khabib being tempted to come back

Khabib wants GSP but I’m sure he’ll come back and fight if Dana gives him some long term business deal for his future MMA promotion and other fighters in his team/stable.

Some sort of long term incentive that makes fighting worthwhile.

Only 1, maybe 2 options:

GSP fight at 155

Conor rematch where Khabib gets paid an amount that he cannot refuse (unlikely). And assuming Conor beats Prober. But this is a fight Khabib always has in his back pocket.

I can't see GSP fighting at 155. It would have to be a catchweight or at 170. Personally I think 170 is best because there's no title obligations and it can be a one off fight for the both of them.

Well at 155 GSP has the opportunity to become the first 3 division champ, in addition to breaking the streak.

If GSP doesn't care about the belt, then the fight at 170 sounds good. Dana is probably fine with it being for the belt as it would be Khabib's last fight so the title would go vacant regardless of who wins. I believe GSP can definitely make 155 and he has the discipline to do so. It would probably be as hard on GSP as it is on Khabib (very difficulty but not impossible)

Yes but if he can get a long term deal to integrate eagles mma into fight pass,and have it be a feeder org for UFC,as well as other links,he also has to give something Dana he wants.They are clearly very friendly and open to do business together.

As the other guy said i was thinking more along the lines of having multiple doors open for his stable of fighters for the future both in and outside his promotion. Speculation of course, but I think its pretty clear that the only thing he wants for himself is the GSP fight and money is no issue.

With Khabib at the helm,and the prospect of those fighters fighting their way to the UFC,it makes it more interesting than some of the other lower level indy promotions. UFC can even promote their merch and brand on their website

I agree GSP could probably make 155, but it wouldn't be easy to do and I don't think GSP would be able to fight at the best of his ability. Fighting and beating GSP at the weight class GSP is the GOAT in is more impressive than beating him at 155 imo. If GSP wins he wouldn't officially be a 3 weight champ but that's just semantics as he'd have a win over the current 155 champ.

But I think they can be successful without relying on the ufc. If you become a “feeder” league, that’s all it’ll be. Idk if his goal is to just provide opportunities to new fighters, or if it’s to have a successful org. If he wants a successful org, signing profit shares to the ufc doesn’t do you much good.

I am just guessing to what his real plan is. But he did mention sending his guys to the ufc. This could also be a short term plan until he is ready to go big time later.

Yeah, I get it. My points just that rizin, one, pfl and bellator...we can agree they are the next 4 successful orgs right? None of them are on fight pass. They are separate entities. Those deals to get onto fight pass essentially guarantee that there will be no growth

Dana is like Vince McMahon. When he wants somethin hell do anything to get it. You need a guy like that to run a company.
