Kevin Holland made $533,000 this year.

That's is true, but there is another thing: a great up and coming fighter will smash the mediocre opposition, take little damage, be able to fight often and collect some fight night bonuses. When a fighter steps up a notch, he'll fight solid opposition, take more damage, will need longer camps to prepare and more time to rest.

I don't think low to mid tier fighters are paid bad in UFC, quite the contrary, they earn more than say boxers from respective level, but top guys are underpaid. I don't think $150 000 is enough for a guy to go to war, put a FOTY and then be unable to fight for another 9 months, because he needs time to recover. That's why we have all the diva shit and I get it (although I still don't agree with someone signing a contract, then bitching he is not paid enough).
Bingo.
It's so wild to see the UFC makes people at home foprget about injuries and wear.

It's not just that he fought 5 times in one year.
It's the fact that he always was like that so he didn't even need to prove it to dana.
His whole career is crazy level of activity, and being on the contender obviously means dana followed.

UFC hasn't had a good company man like that since Donald Cerrone did his godly record setting streak.

the "anywher anytime " guys are very very few, and he is one of them.

Justin G got a top ten guy in his debut. In marketing not everybody debuts equal.
Indeed, in the 5 years hes competed in MMA the least amount of fights hes done in a year is 3, hes one of the most active fighters currently.
Obviously that will change if he goes up in rankings and closer to a title shot but for now hes lapping fights up.

alot of the champs have fought once a year atleast once.
I dont see holland doing that.
Most fighters before and after UFC debut still fight twice a year and very rarely do they reach 3.

Hell be making that in a fight soon if he continues along the same track.

the game has always been if you can viciously finish people consistently you have a place in the UFC , then you can stay around for a while if you are willing to get viciously finished , and some guys are built ford tough and can keep that going for a while

Damn, he got a pay bump every fight. Guess that’s a more common contract than I expected. Think Cory Sandhagen had the same deal. I think Nate Diaz did too, which is why he was complaining about his pay because he wasn’t winning (pre-Conor)

His only disclosed payout was his ufc debut making 13/13.

everything else is a guess besides any bonuses.

I'm dumb, who is the "his" you're referring to? Holland, Sandhagen, or Diaz?

Homeboy really put in that work this year, and fair play to him.

Cashing health cheque!

Speaking of Leon, Kevin has already beaten his total career earnings.
Leon - Total Career Earnings: $537,500

Kevin - Total Career Earnings: $716,500

Leon has been with the company since 2014, Kevin was signed 4 years later and is already on more show money and has earned more than $200k more in total earnings.

Stay ready, stay busy.
400k English approx.
/ 6 years roughly 67k English a year.

Self employed status. Wild guess at 10% loss after taxes. 60k a year.
Possibly another 10% to management and training.

Might be getting 50k a year.

All above tired wild calculations by me.

Now that is pittance in contrast to most fighters.

Good solid salary though for anybody outside of London but not for a career so short and punishing.

And Rory made 400k per fight in Bellator. 2 fights for Rory in Bellator = 10 fights for Holland in UFC <45>

Rory made 59k against Lawler for the WW belt in UFC and he got 400k in Bellator per fight (with sponsors). While the UFC guys get Reebok coupons <45>

So the only numbers that matter are a reported payout for one ufc fight and a tweet from a teammate for bellator....and that has you rolling.....lol

Yea I remember his pay was trash for that Lawler fight. Not sure if it was this low though. I do remember Rory being pissed that Sage Northcutt was getting more (or similar) pay to him, which is crazy and weird for the UFC to over pay for anything, let alone an unproven fighter like Sage.
