That's not even including the 20k he got for the cancelled Woodley vs Edwards fight.

Put's into perspective inactive fighters like Leon and Francis who just sit and wait for title shots and big fights that never come. Fight as often as you can while you're healthy. You're not getting any younger.

You know, half a million is way more than I make and its a great salary for 1 year. Props to him, but 5 fights in year should generate more than half a million imo. His pay would have been drastically less had he not had the year he did (obviously). 5 w's in 1 year is fantastic. He should be getting atleast 150K to show now but what do I know.

didn't he just come from the contender series not long ago? shouldn't he be on that bread and water paycheck?

That’s a myth. You get the same starting contract whether you are a direct hire or contender series guy

Had no idea his salary was that high honestly

good for him anyways

26k to show and 26k to win seems fair for an exciting fighter with a 3-2 record, and one of those losses being a debut on two weeks notice against Thiago Santos.

It looks like he got a new contract after the Buckley KO that doubled his pay and increased with each win.

I wonder if he's already fullfilled this current contract and is now negotiating a new one. I think the UFC usually do 3 fight contracts and it looks like he just finished one valuing around 50k a fight.

Yea no doubt, it's special circumstances. But it just baffles me when I hear guy's say there waiting for a title fight, or "This fight doesn't make sense for my career". I'd put Francis in that category too. No title fights are promised. If your'e a bad ass, just take what fights they give you. At the very least you can fight out your contract , make money then become a free agent and go somewhere else.

He fights whoever, he finishes fights, he's entertaining. Hate Dana as much as you want. Dana has shown before if you help him out he'll help you out.

A lot of these fighters want the money before they prove their worth. Meanwhile you have other guys putting in the work IN the cage instead of building their brand outside and expecting to get paid on social media clout
One of my pet peeves is how these fighters don't use social media. Ryan Garcia is a big name and great boxer, and he said he make more money on his social media than boxing. That's crazy, but it's the new reality.
You're already a public figure, just start a youtube channel and IG account. They could leverage there UFC career into sponsorship outside the cage.

Well deserved, Kevin is a good example of why being an active fighter is great for a career. Dude changed his life this year and is now a serious contender for the belt. A real fighter not like these other guys that rarely fight but still cry about there pay and not getting a title shot lol.
