Russell Crowe version was better actualy.

That movie was boring imo, and Crowe was too old to play a Robin just starting out.

Why are you so dismissive like that was the only thing he ever did? He also directed Dances with Wolves which is one of the greatest (and best directed) movies of all time. And he wasn't even supposed to direct Waterworld, he only took that over after Kevin Reynolds threw a fit.

I'm sure everyone is happy Spielberg did the film, but Costner deserves at least a modicum of respect.

Dances with Wolves is great. It's like the singular cheesy hollywood movie that works.

It's dreadful.

It's no worse than many other cheesy blockbusters of the time, really. It sure as fuck cost a lot more than the average movie, but I never quite understood the hate it gets. Like, for sure, it sucks, but there were a lot of shitty action movies in the same vein around that time.
