Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

Only a 3rd for Woody there. Pacific Image won, so the exacta was kinda close.
 
Can't really tell much from the track in that race with the 2nd choice winning from the outside, the even money favourite (who the numbers said was vulnerable) finishing 2nd on the rail the whole way, and then the 3rd and 4th choices finishing in those positions with outside trips.
 
I don't have the PP's for this next race so I'm not playing it. But there's some good early speed types drawn outside in it (specifically the #6 and #9), so hopefully it gives us a better hint regarding the track.
 
Actually I do have the PP's for this race. Just didn't do numbers for it since it's a maiden race with a few first time starters. Kinda shocked that the #9 is only the 3rd choice as of now when, on paper at least, she should probably be about an even money favourite since she's the clear standout of the horses who have ran before.
 
The #9 crushed them pretty easily, although she did get bet down some toward the end and went off at 2/1. Should have been even money, though.
 
Went with the #8 Classic Brew to win and place here in race 4, and then also did a #2, #7, #8 exacta box. Trying to beat the heavy favourite right out of it.

Shitty thing is I came into the day really wanting to bet that horse who won there considering he ranked high enough on the numbers and was 10/1 on the morning line. He was sitting at 3/1 when I made my plays, though, so I had to pass. Oh well.
 
Hopefully the longshot that the numbers points to in race 6 doesn't get bet down like the one in that last race we played did.

The pick 3 will pays say it should go off long as the 6th choice, so that is a good sign.
 
I was going to go across the board with that one (might still), although with it being the 4th choice as of now in the place pool, and 3rd choice in the show pool it appears @t6p is pulling out the big bucks once again and ruining my plan.
 
The #6 Obsessionoptimist across the board here for $2/$5/$7, and then 6 different $1 trifectas with the #1 keyed on top of the #4, #6, and #9.
 
Love it when you can find a way to like a horse that may go off as the longest shot on the board regardless of what happens.
 
He got 3rd, and the heavy favourite was beat out, so that should be okay.
 
This actually should pay quite good with the 2nd place finisher and our guy 25/1 in 3rd.
